Mr. Julius Scott, Jr. of Winder, Georgia, formerly of Lee County, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of St. John Baptist Church in Leslie, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Saddler Cemetery in Lee County, Georgia.

Julius Scott, Jr., a cherished soul born on July 30, 1947, in the heart of Lee County, Georgia, departed this earthly realm on July 29, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Julius Scott, Sr. and Katie Mae Scott, who instilled in him values of integrity, love, and dedication.

Julius was a proud product of the Lee County School System and a member of the Mount Able Baptist Church in Lee County, where the seeds of faith continued to grow throughout his life. His professional journey led him to a fulfilling career as a Pressman at the Rhorer Corporation in Buford, Georgia, where his diligent work ethic was admired by colleagues and superiors alike.

A man of many passions, Julius found joy in the serene art of fishing, the thrill of hunting, the tranquility of camping, and the challenge of golfing. These hobbies not only provided him with relaxation but also a means to bond with family and friends, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

Preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Eddie James Mitchell, Reverend Jimmy Scott, Daisy (Joann) Scott and Diane Scott Mitchell; and his sister-in-law, Betty Greene, Julius Scott, Jr. will be remembered as a pillar of strength, love, and compassion.  His presence will be deeply missed but whose legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him.

Julius leaves behind a legacy of love through his devoted family. He is survived by his loving wife, Blanche Ellerbe Scott of    Winder, Georgia; his loving children: Greg Sutton (Gabrielle) of Princeton, Texas, Tonda M. Love (Cornelius) of Durant, Oklahoma, April Williams (Gregory) of Stockbridge, Georgia, Shamell Hambrick (Michael) of Grayson, Georgia, Jawanna Yancie (Kelsey) of Lithonia, Georgia, and Gregory Ellerbe (Jennifer) of Grayson, Georgia; his cherished grandchildren, Kamisha Scott-Love, Shabria Stapleton, Julius Antonio Griggs, Alexus Neal, Bree Ellerbe, Greg Sutton, Jr., Michael Hambrick, III, Kamill Yancie, Katelyn Yancie, Kelsey Yancie, Jr., and Kylee Yancie; his adored great-grandchildren: Davonte (DJ) Stapleton, Duke Stapleton, Legynd Kilgore, Kayci Sutton, and Avery Sutton; his loving sister, Cynthia Scott of Stonecrest, Georgia; his caring brothers, Lorenzo Scott (Wanda) of Decatur, Georgia and Leon Scott (Stephanie) of Ellenwood, Georgia; his aunts and uncles:  Douglas Cutts, Clifford Cutts, Calvin Cutts, and Mary French of Smithville, Georgia, Rose Godbee of Miami, Florida, Elizabeth Cutts of Albany, Georgia, Evelyn Iverson (Reverend Jerry) of Montgomery, Alabama, Ivory Scott (Betty) of Albany, Georgia, and Adessa Ford of Mattapan, Michigan; his sisters-in-law: Quizella Lowe, Vera Davis, Lillie Bell Cooper, Rose Marie Pee, Beverly Ellerbe, Genice Sanders, Capathia Konan, and Jean   Douglas; his brother-in-law, Lee Ellerbe; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
