Mr. Julius Clay Hill of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the J. W. Williams Funeral Home chapel in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Julius Clay Hill was born in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia on September 6, 1971.  Julius was born to the proud parentage of Charlie Hill and Mary Gee Hill.

He was enrolled in the public schools of Crisp County where he received his education.

He valued family and grew in a home where the love for family was very important.  Even after reaching adulthood, he cherished many of his childhood memories, especially those of his parents, siblings and other close family members and friends.  As a father, Julius enjoyed riding and listening to music with his children.

Julius was employed by Georgia Crown Distribution of McDonough, Georgia and enjoyed traveling the open road.  As a truckdriver, he took pride in being safe as he traveled along the way.

Over the years he developed a joy for collecting classic cars. He also found great enjoyment in dog breeding.  Spending time weight lifting and working out were among the things he also enjoyed doing.

On Friday, October 25, 2024, Julius peacefully transitioned from this earthly world.  His father, Charlie and  his brother, Michael, preceded him in death.

Memories will live on in the hearts of his loving mother, Mary G. Hill of Cordele, Georgia; his loving companion, Ruth Jenkins of Jonesboro, Georgia; his loving children, Julius Hill, Jr., Zakkiyah Harvey, and Devonte' Hamilton of Cordele,  Georgia, Jaliyia Hover of Atlanta, Georgia, and Javious Paul of Cordele, Georgia; his beloved grandchildren, AJ Perez, Julius Hill, III, Essence Smith, Jakaylin Hill, Jushon Hill, Devonte' Hamilton, Jr., A'Miracle Hamilton, Cerenity Hamilton, Ava Hamilton, Aubreii Hamilton, Jace Hamilton, Devon Hamilton, Devyous Hamilton, Dashon Hamilton, and Devin Hamilton; his caring siblings, Angela Hill of Cordele, Georgia, Charles Hill of Atlanta, Georgia, Gregory Hill of Cordele, Georgia, and Mildred Waters-Cameron of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
