Mr. Johnny Mack Smith, Sr. of 1939 Coney Road, Vienna, Georgia died Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
On August 20, 1950, Mr. Johnny Mack Smith, Sr. was born to the parentage of the late Mr. M. L. Smith and the late Mrs. Alma Mae Bryant Smith. He was born in Vienna, Georgia where he received his education from the Dooly County Public Schools.
At an early age he confessed hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ. It was at this time he united with the Holly Grove Baptist Church.
When not working and providing for his family, he enjoyed a good wrestling match. He also enjoyed watching Westerns.
On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, his earthly journey came to a peaceful end.
Many wonderful memories of his life will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Carter Smith of Vienna, Georgia; his loving and devoted children, Ms. Annie Marie Smith of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Barick Smith of Vienna, Georgia, Mr. Johnny Mack (Kylie) Smith, Jr. of Cordele, Georgia, and Mr. Michael (Kim) Carter of Macon, Georgia; 19 caring grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his loving sisters, Mrs. Patricia (Cleveland) Smith and Ms. Bernell Hosley both of Orlando, Florida; his caring brothers, Mr. Willie Charles Smith of St. Petersburg, Florida and Deacon Carl Ruben (Annie) Smith of Vienna, Georgia; his aunt, Mrs. Christine Pounds of Cordele, Georgia; his devoted mother-in-law, Mrs. Annie B. Carter of Vienna, Georgia; his brothers-in-law, Mr. Marvin Carter, Mr. Bobby Carter, and Mr. Stevie Carter all of Vienna, Georgia; his sister-in-law, Ms. Lilly Carter of Vienna, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
