Mr. Johnny Lee Parker of 306 North 3rd Street, Cordele, Georgia died Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia.

The memorial service will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your own mask.

Life began for Johnny Lee Parker on June 21, 1960 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  He was born to Ivory Parker, Jr. and Malisey Hill Parker.

Johnny is better known to some as "Eatin-Baby," or others as "Shay".  He will be remembered as a person who never met a stranger.

He was educated in the public school system of Crisp County.  He later attended Riley Training Institution where he studied Culinary Arts.  That is why the nickname, "Eatin-Baby" fit him so well.

Eatin-Baby was a people person, he loved to be around family and friends.  He also enjoyed playing the lottery.

At a young age the value of possessing a trade was instilled in him.  He became a tire repairman from his father.  He started his working journey at Perlis Truck Stop.  Later, he and his brothers became the owners of Parker's Tire Repair and Service Station.  Most recently, he was employed at Pettis Tire Company until his health began to fail.

On Saturday, May 25, 2024 Johnny's earthly journey ended.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Ivory Parker, Jr. and Mrs. Malisey Hill Parker.   His brothers, Mr. Curtis Parker, Mr. Ivory Tyson, Mr. George Paul, and Mr. Willie Parker, also precede him in death.

He is survived by his beloved family: his sister, Mrs. Cheenese (Sammie) McGill of Cordele, Georgia; his brothers, Elder Ivory (Roselie) Parker and Mr. Randy Parker both of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Willie James (Patricia) Parker of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. Raymond Parker of Albany, Georgia; his half brothers, Mr. Joe Lawton, Mr. Curt West, Mr. Glen Adams, Mr. J. C. Patrick, Mr. Reginald Patrick, Mr. Buford Shivers, Mr. Ronnie Peacock, Mr. Bernard Jackson, and Mr. Jesse Stretchen; his aunts and uncles, Mrs. Ella (George) Davis of Oakfield, Georgia, Mrs. Cora (Buford) Royal and Mrs. Mary Hill both of Cordele, Georgia; his bonus family, Chavez Lucas, Wakeria Brown, Antonika Brown, Ajahla, Big Boy, Sykemia, Harmoni, Brayden, M. J., Jaivih, Kensleigh, Jahkai, Gail Williams,     Norman Emerson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Lameika  Parker, Infinity Montford, Correy Reese, KeMoni Montford, Anthony (Dorothy) West, Lois (Shawn), Ricky Brown, Fred Johnson, Walter Mobley, Employees of Pettis Tire Company:  John, Jackie, Waymond, Georgia, Will, Andrew, Pee Wee, Kim and all others, Lashundra Montford, Eddie Davis and the Crisp Regional Hospice Staff.
