Mr. Jimmy L. Collins of 1015 Drayton Road, Cordele, Georgia, died Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your mask.
Jimmy Lee Collins was born on January 21, 1961, in Crisp County, Georgia, to Milton Lee Collins, Sr., and Fannie Mae Mainor Harvey. He spent his formative years in the public school system, where he laid the foundation for the life he would build throughout his community.
Jimmy came from a large and loving family, and he was deeply connected to his roots. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Lee Collins, Sr., and Fannie Mae Mainor Harvey, as well as his siblings, Patricia Collins, Belinda Harvey, and Milton Collins, Jr. His grandparents, Lonnie Collins, Sr., Susie Mae Collins, Mae Francis Harrell Mainor, and Nelson Mainor, Sr., also preceded him in death, alongside his aunts and uncles, Gladeen Hargrove, Betty Armstrong, Louise Rawls, and Jessie Mae Collins. Jimmy had a special bond with his cousins, Lonnie Collins, Jr., Johnny Collins, Willie Frank Collins, and Henry Collins, who have also passed on.
Jimmy Lee Collins passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, and cherished memories. His life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the importance of community. As we remember him, we celebrate the joy he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
Jimmy Lee Collins's legacy continues through his children, Jakeynia Rush (Mario) of Vienna, Georgia, Zantonia Lester (Coneishia) of Macon, Georgia, and N'Kebra Searcy of Cordele, Georgia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mila Ivery of Belle Glade, Florida, Lashonda Collins of Riviera Beach, Florida, Natasia Lunsford of Orlando, Florida, and Charlene Collins of Allentown, Pennsylvania; his brothers, Charles Harris (Takia) of Cordele, Georgia, Tobi Harris (Cynthia) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Stacy Harvey (Tammy) of Cordele, Georgia; his sister-in-law, Connie Collins of Belle Glade, Florida; his aunts and uncles, Overseer Annie Reynolds (Elder Leroy) of Vienna, Georgia, Marilyn Mainor, Eddie Jean Brown, Sarah Ann White, Reverend Nelson Mainor (Melinda), Samuel Mainor, and Joe Mainor all of Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, along with many friends to include a special friend, Lawana Davis of Cordele, Georgia.
