Mr. Jimmie L. Henton of 502 West 19th Ave. Apt. B, Cordele, Georgia died Friday, October 27, 2023, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Macedonia Church Cemetery, Drayton Community, Vienna, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your own mask.

Jimmie Lee Henton was born July 24, 1956 in Dooly County, Georgia.  He was born to the late Mr. Willie Henton, Sr. and the late Mrs. Eva C. Henton.

As a child he was enrolled in the public school system of Crisp County.  He was a 1975 graduate of Crisp County High School.

He confessed hope in Jesus Christ and united with the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

He enjoyed the simple things of life.  His hobbies included fishing and cooking.

On Friday, October 27, 2023 he transitioned from this life.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Serita Cobb Henton and his siblings, Mrs. Terry Guerrero, Mrs. Eva Mae Wood, Mrs. Louella Adams and Mrs. Betty Royal.

Memories of his life will be cherished by his loving and devoted family, his children, Mr. Taron C. Henton, Sr. of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ms. J. Ebony Griffin of Cordele, Georgia and Mr. Jimmie Lee McCants of St. Petersburg, Florida; six grandchildren, Kelvy, Asia, Symone, Taron, Trey, and Janiya; two great grandchildren, Lola and Amari; his sister, Mrs. Beatrice Lawson of Cordele, Georgia; his brothers, Mr. Albert Henton of Tampa, Florida and Mr. Willie Henton of St. Petersburg, Florida; his brothers-in-law, Mr. James L. Everett (Chong) and Mr. Korrelles Edwards (Juanita); a host of nieces and nephews, to include a special niece and nephew, Ms. Keisha Parker and Mr. Corey Parker both of Asheville, North Carolina; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
