Mr. Jeronica Collins, Sr. better known as "Papa" of 500 Pineview Way, Vienna, Georgia died Thursday, May 2, 2024 at his residence.
The funeral service will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Fresh Oil Ministry in Vienna, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.
Jeronica Collins, Sr. was born February 12, 1974, in Vienna, Dooly County, Georgia. Affectionately known to his family by his nickname, "Papa," he was born to Willie Frank Collins, Sr., and Clara Lee Fort Collier. His parents and his siblings, Ellamae Collins, Shawonda Collins, and Michael Brown, precede him in death.
He received his education from the public schools of Dooly County. He also attended the Earl C. Clemons Job Corp.
A believer in Jesus Christ, he was a member of the Vienna Holiness Deliverance Church.
Papa was employed at Golden Peanut Company. He loved music and had a special love for his family and friends. His comedic personality made it easy for others to be comfortable around him. He never met a stranger.
On Thursday, May 2, 2024, slipped away from those who loved him dearly. His grandparents, Henry Nick & Clara Fort and Lonnie & Susie Mae Collins along with his aunts and uncles, Louise Rawls, Jessie Mae Collins, Betty Jean Armstrong, Gladean Hargrove, Johnny B. Collins, L. C. Collins, Milton Collins, Sr., Alice Floyd, Melvin Fort, Bobby Fort, and Roosevelt Fort, also preceded him in death.
He leaves cherished memories to his loving and caring family: his companion, Alexis Fields of Vienna, Georgia; his children, Jamiya Pringle of Unadilla, Georgia, Jeronica Collins, Jr. of Vienna, Georgia, Chanarra Ladd of Unadilla, Georgia, Nikia Jordan of Albany, Georgia, Laquasha Mallard of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ran'Dejah Thomas and Abrianna Simpson of Vienna, Georgia; nine grandchildren; his sisters, Shari Collins of Cordele, Georgia, Shan Collins of Vienna, Georgia, and Dorothy Beazer of Tampa, Florida; his brothers, Willie Collins of Cordele, Georgia, Frank Collins of Buffalo, New York, Christopher Collins of Vienna, Georgia, and Gregory B. Collins of Syracuse, New York; his aunts and uncles, Overseer Annie (Leroy) Reynolds of Vienna, Georgia, Gale (Jonah) Seymour and Betty Fort of Syracuse, New York, Gloria Ford of Cordele, Georgia, and Rosa Mays of Syracuse, New York; a great aunt, Jessie Mae Fuller of Desota, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, to include, Larry Henderson, Mandle Lee Johnson, Terrance Jordan, Pernell Brown, William Chaney, and Frankie Lee Brown.
