Janelle B.
Bobbitt
Sep 30, 1956 — May 2, 2026
Cordele
Mrs. Janelle Berryhill Bobbitt of 506 East 28th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia, died Saturday, May 2nd at the Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.
The Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Berachah Fellowship Church in Albany, Georgia.
Janelle will be remembered as a woman of remarkable strength, discipline, and quiet independence. Her life was defined by generosity — the kind that asked for nothing in return — and by a steady, unwavering commitment to the people she loved. She never complained, even in difficult moments, choosing instead to encourage others with her calm spirit and reassuring words.
A gifted home cook, Janelle delighted in trying new recipes and sharing her creations with family. Her dishes were prepared with care and offered with the warmth that made her kitchen a place of comfort and connection.
Though she never had children of her own, Janelle often said she didn't need to; her many nieces and nephews filled her heart completely. She embraced them with patience, guidance, and a love that shaped their lives in lasting ways.
Janelle valued people above all else. Organized, thoughtful, and endlessly patient, she approached every responsibility with care and every relationship with sincerity. Whether serving her family, her church or her work, she gave her very best in all aspects of her life.
Her legacy is one of service, kindness, and quiet strength. She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who cherished her, and countless memories of a life lived with purpose and heart. Janelle's presence will be deeply missed, but the example she set will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Memories of her life will be cherished by her sister, Roslyn Berryhill Gadson (Floyd) of Americus, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Edna Berryhill of Tampa, Florida; her nieces, Elder Charlotte Dobbs of Cordele, Georgia, Erma Childs of Acworth, Georgia, Theresa Wright and Tomeka Sutton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Sharon Henderson of Tampa, Florida; her nephews, Harry Wright of Atlanta, Georgia, Larry Wright of Cordele, Georgia, Lorenzo Wright of Atlanta, Georgia, James Berryhill and Vincent Kease of Americus, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.
