Mr. Jamie Lee Collins of Jacksonville, Florida died Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 5:30 PM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Hardshell Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
Mr. Jamie Lee Collins was born August 20, 1970 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. He was born to the late Mrs. Beulah Ford Pate and the late Mr. Johnnie L. Mumphery.
Jamie was educated in the Crisp County Public School System. He was a 1990 graduate of Crisp County High School.
Jamie loved life, he especially enjoyed the special memories he shared with his family. He could light up any room with his presence.
Win, lose, or draw, he was always going to pull for "his" Pittsburgh Steelers.
On Saturday, April 9, 2022, much sooner than we would've wanted, he left this life. He will forever live on in our thoughts and in our hearts. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Mrs. Jenice Smith and Mrs. Susie Coleman.
He will forever be remembered by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Renee Collins of Jacksonville, Florida; his loving and devoted children, Ms. Kenya Whitehead of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Shikina Collins of Buford, South Carolina, Ms. Khiniya King of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Jamie L. Collins, Jr. of Anniston, Alabama, and Mr. Jalaal Collins of Jacksonville, Florida; 10 grandchildren; his loving sisters, Ms. Nancy Butler of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Jody Pate of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ms. Cassandra Collins and Ms. Betty Jean Mumphery both of Cordele, Georgia, and Ms. Seletha Mumphery of North Carolina; his caring brothers, Mr. Randy (Hetha) Johnson and Mr. Aaron (Barbara) Collins both of Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Floyd Mumphery of North Carolina and Mr. John D. Mumphery of California; his aunts and uncles, Mrs. Mary Pounds, Ms. Rosa Ford, and Deacon Sammie Lee (Fannie) Mumphery all of Cordele, Georgia, and Mrs. Eleanor Mumphery of Atlanta, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Mr. Courtney McGriff, Mr. Jamie Collins, Mr. Omari Sims, Ms. Andrea Fullwood, Mr. Camden McGriff, Ms. Camille Coleman, Mr. Kevin Collins, Ms. Desiree Edwards, Mr. Bernard Butler, Mr. Alex Coleman, Ms. Candace Butler, Ms. Latoshia Porter, Mr. Christopher Felton, Ms. Dimetria Collins, Mr. Christopher Johnson, Ms. Andrea Ross, Mr. Randy Redding, Mr. Eddie D. Ross, and Ms. Brittany Collins; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
