Mr. James Leron Gaines of 2004 South 10th Street, Cordele Georgia died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Cordele, Georgia

The public visitation will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home.

On January 1, 1981 our beloved James Leron Gaines entered this world.  He was born to James Leon Gaines and Georgia Gaines in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.

As a child he accepted the Lord in his life and became a member of the Nile Chapel Baptist Church.

He was better known to his family and friends as "Skeebo."  A graduate of Crisp County High School, he was loved by everyone.  He loved to travel, was very outgoing and had an infectious laugh that could fill any room.  Artistic, fun-loving and easy spirited are the things that will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, he completed his earthly walk.  He is preceded in death by his father, James.  Cherished memories of his life will live in the hearts of his loving and devoted mother, Georgia Gaines of Cordele, Georgia; his loving children, Jamicee Gaines of Vienna, Georgia and Jamaye Gaines of Perry, Georgia; his adored granddaughter, Jordyn Collins; his loving sisters, Cynthia Felder of Warner Robins, Georgia, Susie Gaines of Americus, Georgia and Vivian Gaines of Warner Robins, Georgia; his beloved brother, Meldoric (Roxana) Gaines of Cordele, Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Walter & Sarah Gaines, Ruby Gaines, Christine Gaines, and Lessie Gaines all of Cordele, Georgia, Addie Benson of Atlanta,  Georgia, Rose Hollis,  Barbara Hollis, and Jerry Hollis all of Houston, Texas; his nieces and nephews; many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Broderick Westbrook of Atlanta, Georgia, Rocky Reese and Johnathan Smith both of Cordele, Georgia.
