Dr. James Wardell Bolton, II of Macon, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services must wear a mask and practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your mask.
In loving memory of James Wardell Bolton, II who graced this world with his presence on March 4, 1970, in Cordele, Georgia, born to the loving embrace of James Wardell Bolton, Jr. and Carolyn Perry Bolton He was a beloved and cherished son of this union, having grown up surrounded by the care of his large family.
James journey through life took root in Crisp County, where he was raised in a loving and praying family. His childhood gave the foundation for his never quit mindset that he carried as a student in the Crisp County School System and a 1988 graduate of Crisp County High School. He continued to soar in his quest for higher education by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Forensic Psychology. He later earned a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling and being equipped with a deep desire to serve he received his PhD in Christian Counseling.
His love for the Lord was ever present as he proclaimed the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. He was committed to the ministry as he served as a member of Love In Action Ministries Church of God by Faith in Douglas, Georgia.
Above all, James's presence illuminated every room, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. In the hearts of those who loved him, James's memory will forever reside, a beacon of light guiding them through the darkest of days. On Sunday, November 17, 2024, he joined his father and other family members in a place of rest.
He will forever be remembered by his wife, Shafonda Taylor Bolton of Macon, Georgia; his children, Jakari Bolton of Miami, Florida, Quest Bolton of Miami, Florida, and Corey (Kathy) Brown; one grandchild, Ezra Brown; his mother, Carolyn Bolton of Cordele, Georgia; his sister, DeAnna Bolton of Chicago, Illinois; his aunts and uncles, Reverend Charles (Gale) Perry, Jr. of Byron, Georgia, Angela (Deacon Jessie) Walker of Cordele, Georgia, Martha Stokes of Pontotoc, Mississippi, and Bishop Ernest Morrow of Miami, Florida; his cousins, who he treated like siblings, Katrina Vines, Minister Pamela Slaton, Eric (Kameliah) Perry, Trina (Richard) Greene, Katrina McCloud, Courtney (DeQuirria) Perry, Elder Terrance (LaChele) Walker, Deidra (Elijah) Pendleton, and Jasmine Walker; a host of other cousins, and friends, to include the 1900 Block of Dorris Street, the Beal and the Ray Families.
