Obituary

Mr. Irvin Young of 401 North 5th Street, Vienna, Georgia died Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Forest Chapel Baptist Church in Pinehurst, Georgia.  The burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Mr. Irvin Young was born October 30, 1968.  He was born to the late Mr. Joe Young and the late Mrs. Mussolinie Clayton Young.

Known to his family and friends as "Hawk," he was educated in the public schools of Dooly County, Georgia.

Early in his life he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Lilly, Georgia.

He was a huge Washington Redskins fan.  He enjoyed working on his truck.  Above all else he enjoyed spending time with his family.  Hawk will be remembered as a "one of a kind" individual who was always willing to help others.  He had a good heart.

On  Friday, April  15, 2022 his was set free from the cares of this life.

Memories of his life will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Mrs. Shanterra Adams Young of Vienna, Georgia; his loving daughter, Ms. Karhia Brown of Vienna, Georgia; his  beloved son, Mr. Ervin Brown of Cordele, Georgia; his stepchildren, Ms. Kiosia Adams, Ms. Dianca Adams, Mr. Jordan Adams, and Ms. Anaya Adams; his grandbaby, Little Nova Adams; his loving sisters, Ms. Glenda Young (Antonio) and Mrs. Debra Adams (Alzona) both of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Roshika Clayton of Dooling, Georgia, Mrs. Terry  Hardwick (Curtis) of Vienna, Georgia, and Ms. Laura Young of Warwick, Georgia; his loving brothers, Mr. Lonnie Young (Faye) of   Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Murray Young (Cathy) of Unadilla, Georgia, and Mr. Joe Eddie Young (Amy) of Albany, Georgia;  his aunts and uncles, Mrs. Willie Bell Coleman and Mr. John T. Clayton of Lilly, Georgia, Deacon Lonnie Clayton and Mr. Marcus (Earlie Mae) Clayton of Byromville, Georgia, Mr. Abraham (Dorothy) Clayton of Lilly, Georgia, Mrs. Inez Glenn and Mr. Freeman Clayton both of Vienna, Georgia, Ms. Almeta Clayton of Dooling, Georgia; his great, great aunts, Mrs. George Eva Spivey and Mrs. Mary F. Parker of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his mother-in-law, Ms. Linda Adams of Albany, Georgia, his in-laws, Mr. Roderick Adams of Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Shatori Adams of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Ms. Tonya Chanel of Tampa, Florida; a host of nieces and nephews, many cousins, to include his devoted cousins, Mr. Darren Young and Mr. Clifton Burke both of Vienna, Georgia.
