Mr. Henry Patterson of 2006 Roney Street, Americus, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of Whole Truth International Ministries in Americus, Georgia. The burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.
Henry Patterson was born on June 21, 1939, in the warm town of Americus, Georgia. He was the cherished son of Johnny and Mary Ann Patterson. Growing up in Sumter County, Henry received his education at the public schools, where he attended Union High School in Americus, Georgia.
Henry shared a loving and enduring marriage with Rachel Patterson, who preceded him in death. Together, they built a family filled with cherished memories and love. Sadly, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, Henry transitioned from this life, joining his beloved wife, parents, and children: Keith Patterson, Dedrick Patterson, and Michael Patterson in eternal peace.
Henry leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, treasured by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving and devoted children: Donna Patterson of Americus, Georgia, Jena Thornton of Warner Robins, Georgia, Tina Tatum of Warner Robins, Georgia and Melody Patterson of Americus, Georgia.
Henry's life was further enriched by his 18 beloved grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, who will forever hold dear the warmth of his love and the wisdom of his guidance; his loving sisters, Cynthia Lundy, Lucy Prince, and Devorah Johnson, all of Hartford, Connecticut; his caring brothers, Charlie Lundy and John Lundy of Hartford, Connecticut; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
Henry Patterson's life was a testament to love, family, and community. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and memories will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
