United States Army Veteran, Mr. Henry Wallace Kleckley, Jr. of 808 Citrona Drive, Byron, Georgia died Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Atrium Health Navicent Peach Medical Center in Byron, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Thursday,  September 15, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Friendship Baptist Church in Americus,  Georgia.  The burial, with military honors,  will be at 12:00 Noon at the Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville,  Georgia.   Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Henry Wallace Kleckley, Jr. was born February 2, 1953 in Sumter County, Georgia.  He was born to Henry Kleckley and Irene Murray Kleckley.

Educated in the Sumter County Public School System, he was a graduate of Staley High School.  He continued his education at Portland Community  College, Portland, Oregon, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice.

He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country with honor and distinction.  Upon the completion of his enlistment, he was given an Honorable discharge.

A believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ, he was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ in Macon, Georgia.

On Thursday, September 8, 2022, his earthly journey came to a peaceful end.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughters, Trelisha Kleckley and a daughter who resided in Portland, Oregon and his brother, Fred Kleckley.

Cherished memories of his life will remain in hearts of his loving wife, Arlydia Kleckley of Byron, Georgia; his loving children, Mr. Dendritt (Tomeica) Kleckley of Atlanta, Georgia, Henry W. (Tyisha) Kleckley, III of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Shaunkea Kleckley of Macon, Georgia, Kevin (Takesha) Brown of West Palm Beach, Florida and Keith Brown of Jacksonville, Florida; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his loving sisters, Beverly Ross and Linda Ross both of Americus, Georgia, and Cynthia Hinton of Alexandria, Virginia; his caring brothers, Maurice Kleckley and Milton Kleckley both of Americus, Georgia; his aunts, Carrie Baisden-Varner of  Atlanta, Georgia and Rosa Mae Clemons of Americus, Georgia; his brothers-in-law, Dr. Juan (Vivarine) Harris, Willie C. Harris and Sheldon (Donna) Harris; his sisters-in-law, Sherri (Alton) Bailey, Marilyn Harris, Karen Gray, Lily Phinn, and Dana Ward; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, to include, Tommy "Tweet" Jackson of Americus, Georgia, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
