Our wise and loving God, blessed the union of Curtis and Adeline Lofton with a beautiful gift on July 30, 1952.  A precious daughter, Mable Gwendolyn, was born in Ashburn, Turner County, Georgia.

"Gwen," as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was educated in the public school system of Crisp County.  She was a 1970 graduate of A. S. Clark High School.

A strong religious foundation and deep love for the Lord was instilled in her as a child.  She accepted Christ as her Savior at the Little Rock Baptist Church in Arabi, Georgia.

Gwen possessed so many admirable qualities that she shared throughout her life.  She was a lover of flowers. An excellent cook, she also enjoyed baking cakes.

While she found joy in many things, her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, gave her the greatest happiness.  She believed in family and valued the relationship she shared with her family.

Having lived a life of peace, on Thursday, March 31, 2022, she peacefully transitioned from this life to life eternal.  Her father, Mr. Curtis Lofton, preceded her in death.

Many wonderful memories are left to her loving and devoted husband, Deacon Fred Douglas Jones of Arabi, Georgia; her loving and devoted children, Mrs. Bridget (Ernest) Harvey of Kathleen, Georgia, Mr. Dereke (Trilondra) Lofton of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Rustavious (LaCrystal) Jones of Brunswick, Georgia, Ms. Zondrea Jones of Perry, Georgia, and Mr. Jason Jones of Arabi, Georgia; her grandchildren, Joshua Harvey, Dereke Lofton, Jr., Daylen Jones, Niki Ashley, Kiyah Ashley, Jhana Harvey, Dontavious Lofton, Journey Jones, Roderick Jones, and Terrell Jones; her great grandchildren, Daylen Jones, Jr., Hava Lofton, and Malaya Martin; her loving and devoted mother, Mother Adeline Lofton of Arabi, Georgia; her loving sisters, Mrs. Ella Perry of Vienna, Georgia, Mrs. Brenda (Billy) Austin of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Mrs. Tania (Toriano) Gilbert of Richmond Hill, Georgia; her caring brothers, Mr. Jefferson (Mary) Lofton of Dawson, Georgia and Mr. Gilbert Lofton of Arabi, Georgia; her aunts, Mrs. Ella Mae Williams of Tampa, Florida and Mrs. Mattie Pearl Daniels of Cordele, Georgia; seven sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; her nieces and nephews; Syretta Smith, Mikita Lofton, Ashley Austin, Jessica Austin, Taylor  Gilbert, Tyler Gilbert, Lisa Madison, and Elena Lofton; many  cousins, her great nephew and great niece, Olivia Jackson and  Malachi Jackson; to include her special cousins, Mr. Carlton Lofton of Tampa, Florida and Mrs. Verna Rainey of Meridian, Tennessee; a host of  other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a special friend, Mrs. Sarah Savage Rowe of Albany,  Georgia.
