Mr. Gregory Allen of 301 West 20th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 5:00 PM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Mr. Gregory Allen was welcomed to this world by his    loving mother, Ms. Betty Ruth Allen on November 8, 1955.

Born in Crisp County, Georgia, he was educated in the public school system.  Early in life, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Known to many by his nickname, "Granddaddy Gone Wild," Gregory loved fishing and anything involving him being outdoors and experiencing the beauty of nature.  An avid painter, he especially enjoyed painting cars.  He also loved  motorcycles.

On Sunday, April 17, 2022, he was set free from the cares of this life.  He is preceded in death by his mother and his sisters, Ms. Gloria Jean Grant and Ms. Shirley Keys.  A grandson, Kawaiin Lofton, also precedes him in death.

He leaves cherished memories to his loving children, Ms. Vontrecia Allen (Montay) and Mr. Kevin Lofton (Evelyn) of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Gregory Wimbush of Macon, Georgia, and Ms. Socorro Lockett of Tennessee; his caring grandchildren, D'Kevius Appling, Montasia Reid, Kaleii Lofton, Zykee Lofton, and Jakayla Jones; his loving   sisters, Ms. Felicia Kendrick of Belle Glade, Florida and Annie Lois Allen of Miami, Florida; a beloved brother, Brother Eric Allen (Eva) of Albany, Georgia; a loving aunt, Mrs. Helen Felton of Cordele, Georgia; his nieces and nephews; many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
