Ms. Gloria Williams American of Canton, Georgia died Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by one son, Mr. Bradley American.

She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Mrs. Cheryl (Ronald) Boling of Newark, New Jersey, Mr. Darryl (Loretta) American of Newark, Delaware, Mr. Michael American of Brooklyn, New York, Ms. Danielle American of Forest Hills, New York, Mrs. Michelle (David) American of Tampa, Florida, and Dr. Nadine (Charlie) Thomas of Canton, Georgia; 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; a loving sister, Mrs. Daphne Smith of Norcross, Georgia; her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Velma Dickerson, Ms. Aida American, and Mrs. Ursula Moron; many nieces and nephews, to include, Mr. Keith Smith, Dr. Jerrold Smith, Mr. Craig Smith, Mr. Dale Smith, and Mr. Bruce Smith; an abundance of cousins, other relatives and friends.
