Mrs. Gertrude Holton Holt of 1121 East 8th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Cordele, Georgia.

Mrs. Gertrude Holton Holt was born May 3, 1945 in Sycamore, Georgia.  She was born to the late Mr. Rubin Holton, Sr. and the late Mrs. Rosa Lee Mills Holton.

She was educated in the public school system.  She was proud graduate of the A. S. Clark High School in Cordele, Georgia.

Gertrude loved the Lord and she willingly served him and the people of God.  She was a member of the 13th Street Church of God of Prophecy, "A Servant's Church".

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, she peacefully surrendered to the will of the Lord.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Roger Holt; her sister, Mrs. Leola Holton Carmichael and her brother, Mr. Eddie B. Holton.

Precious memories of her life will be cherished by her loving nieces, Ms. Rosie Smith of Warner Robins, Georgia and Mrs. Gladys "Yogi" Adderley of Cordele, Georgia; her loving sister, Ms. Belinda Holton of New Jersey; her beloved brothers, Mr. Jerry Ford and Mr. Rubin Holton, Jr. of New Jersey and Mr. Levi (Jacqueline) Holton of Cordele, Georgia; her great  nieces and great nephews; cousins, other relatives and friends.
