Mrs. Geraldine Paul Smith was born May 31, 1947 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  She was born to the late Ms. Janie Mae Paul Redding.

Affectionately known to her family and friends as "Judy," she was educated in the public schools of Crisp County. Early in life she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Spring Hill Baptist Church.

For many years she was employed by Cordele Uniform Company.  Later, after moving to St. Petersburg, Florida, she was employed as a Dietitian.

Our mother was a beautiful, loving, sweet, and thoughtful person who lived a full life. She showed compassion, respect and care for others.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors, listening to music and spending quality time with her family. Her devotion to her  children and  grandchildren was consistent and profound. Regardless of what her other obligations were, she always made her children a priority. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when needed. The amount of unconditional love, care, and dedication she had for our well-being was something she wanted each of us to know.

Her memory will continue to be a treasure and a blessing.  Mother, "we know that you are listening from Heaven above and you hold a place in our hearts that no one will be able to fill."

On Wednesday, July 13, 2022 she peacefully transitioned from this life to life everlasting.  Along with her mother, she is preceded in death by her son, Mr. Leon Smith and her brother, Deacon Willie Lee Paul.

Her life will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted children, Ms. Willene Morris of Doraville, Georgia and Ms. Tiffany Paul of Stockbridge, Georgia; her loving grandchildren, Mr. Alex Mills of St. Petersburg, Florida and Ms. Olivia Renee Jacko of Stockbridge, Georgia; a loving sister, Mrs. Annistine Johnson of Warner Robins, Georgia; two aunts, Mrs. Hattie Mae Paul and Mrs. Ellen Paul both of Miami, Florida; her nieces and nephews, Mrs. Ladreka (Casadeyoun) Daniels, Ms. Nellie Whitest, Mrs. Lena Touray, Mr. Johnnie (Veronica) Ford, Ms. Bernice Whitest, Mr. Maurice (Charlisee) Roundtree, Mr. Willie "David" Paul, Mr. Frank Paul, Mr. Leroy Robinson, Mr. Floyd Roundtree, and Ms. Jessica Paul; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a dear friend, Mrs. Gladys Porter.
