Mr. Frederick Ross Grant of 505 South 9th Street, Cordele, Georgia, died Tuedsay, May 20, 2025, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Frederick Ross Grant, born on December 18, 1961, in Cordele, Georgia, was the beloved son of Willie C. Grant and Texanna Grant. A man of many passions and a heart full of dreams, he lived a life that touched many around him.

Frederick's journey began in the close-knit community of Cordele, where he graduated from Crisp County High School in 1980. Demonstrating a keen interest in technical skills, he furthered his education at South  Georgia Technical College, graduating in 1981.

One of Jehovah's Witnesses, Frederick, held his faith close to his heart throughout his life. He was also a lifelong, loyal Miami Dolphins fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer for his favorite team. In addition to his love for football, Frederick was an avid car collector, a hobby that brought him immense joy.

Frederick's lifelong dream was to live in Africa, a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for exploring new cultures. Although he was unable to fulfill this dream, his legacy of curiosity and enthusiasm will continue to inspire those who knew him.

Frederick was preceded in death by his mother, Texanna; his sister, Carolyn Grant; and his grandparents, Rosebud Grant and Willie B. Grant.

Frederick passed away on Monday, May 20, 2025, leaving behind a host of family and friends who will forever cherish the memories and love he shared. His life, marked by loyalty, passion, and dreams, will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  He is survived by his father, Willie C. Grant of Cordele, Georgia; his  daughters, Alexis N. Grant of Cordele, Georgia, and Felesha D. Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Chazdon Smith and Ira Smith; his sisters, Dorothy J. West (Anthony) of Kingsland, Georgia, and Stephanie Mboulet (Patrick) of Jacksonville, Florida; his brother, Lorne L. Grant (Trish) of Cordele, Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Eddie & Oliva Grant, James & Lillie Stembridge, Danny Grant, and Olivia Ross all of Cordele, Georgia, Johnny Powell Grant of Montgomery, Alabama, Clifford & Mary Grant of Orlando, Florida, and Curtis Grant of Villa Rica, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Arsenio Grant (Lanesha) of Albany, Georgia, Nefetial S. West of Kingsville, Texas, Antonio McKenzie (Kita) of Warner Robins, Georgia, Anthony West, III of Austin, Texas, Zachary Grant of Cordele, Georgia, Chaz Mboulet and Pearl Mboulet of Jacksonville, Florida, Jurzi Merrill and D'naye Harper both of Kingsville, Texas, and Salenda Johnson of Macon, Georgia; his cousins, whom he regarded as siblings, Deborah Ross and Regina Ross of San Antonio, Texas, Vicki Grant of Alachua, Florida, Valerie Grant, Crystal Grant, James Fullwood, and Johnny B. Bates, Jr., all of Cordele, Georgia, Charity Ricks of Gainesville, Florida, Jean Collins of Tampa, Florida, Raymond Ross and Augusta Ross, both of Orlando, Florida, Marjorie Grant of Villa Rica, Georgia, and Lizzie Lee of Atlanta, Georgia; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
