Obituary

Mr. Fred George Lewis, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, died Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Accent Care in Forsyth, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 3:30 PM at the Dooly County Elementary School Gymnasium in Pinehurst, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.

Mr. Fred George Lewis, Jr. and Mr. Nathaniel Jerome Lewis, Sr., the sons of the late Mr. Fred George Lewis, Sr. and Mrs. Leola Graham Lewis born in Vienna, Georgia and were   educated in the Dooly County School System.  Fred graduated from Vienna High and Industrial School and Nathaniel from Vienna High School.

Freddie and Nat, so lovingly called, were members of Mount Zion CME Church.  They learned that their lives were fearfully and wonderfully guided from birth to adulthood;   learning, doing, and resting in God's eternal grace.

Freddie left home after graduating, moving to West Palm Beach, Florida working with a newspaper company.  After a few years he returned home and left for the big city of Atlanta becoming a skillful and dedicated employee at Rayloc/NAPA Company.

During his lifetime Freddie loved his family, his hometown, Fulton County, his neighbors of Adamsville and Princeton's Place.  He loved helping the elderly in his community, by   mowing their lawns and completing small home repairs.  His hobby was repairing vintage cars, trucks, and lawn mowers.  He gained a love of baseball, fishing, and hunting at an early age with his grandfather and uncle.  He was an excellent cook for family and friends making good old Potato Salad, Brunswick Stew, Candied Yams, Mac-n-Cheese, and finger licking BBQ ribs.

He was married for 47 years to his wife Neselee.  They shared their life together until his passing on Saturday, October 11, 2025.  To this union a daughter, LeKeisha Yvette Lewis, was born.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Neselee Ellis Lewis;  his two daughters, LeKisha and Whitley Marie; one son, Fred Davanti (Takeina) and six grandchildren.

His daughter, LaShunda Kiano Barber, preceded him in death.
