Evangelist Clemmie Fullwood Jones of Cordele, Georgia, died Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Pruitt Health in Lutz, Florida.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Greater Morris Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Evangelist Clemmie Fullwood Jones, a beloved figure in her community, was born on February 11, 1936, in Abbeville, Georgia. Raised by her parents, Reverend  Samuel T. Fullwood and Mary Miller Fullwood, Clemmie's life was deeply rooted in faith and community service from an early age.

Clemmie began her education at Southview Elementary School and graduated from Holsey Cobb Institute of Cordele, Georgia, in 1953. During her high school years, she demonstrated leadership and athleticism as the captain of the Women's Basketball team at Holsey Cobb, setting the stage for her future roles as a leader.

In 1959, Clemmie accepted Christ and became a dedicated member of the Church of God in Christ. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering, and over the years, she played significant roles in the church. She served as President of the Senior Choir and Co-President of the Youth Choir, sharing her love for music and worship with her congregation.

Clemmie's dedication to her faith led her to become a licensed Evangelist and eventually appointed as Assistant District Missionary of the Moultrie District within the Southern Georgia Jurisdiction from March 1998 to May 2002. Her leadership extended to serving as Vice President of Women Day and Secretary of the Moultrie District Union Meeting. She was a known Prayer Warrior and taught the Adult Class 1 Sunday School, impacting many lives with her teachings.

A member of the Holsey Cobb Alumni Association, Clemmie served as a Senior Advisor and Baker for the Cordele Youth Summer Institute and was actively involved in the Women Fellowship Connection. Her contributions to her community were numerous and always executed with a generous heart.

On January 13, 1971, Clemmie married Willie James Jones. She retired from the Cordele Uniform Company after 36 years of dedicated service. Beyond her professional life, Clemmie was a Master Baker and the sole proprietor of "Cakes By Clemmie," delighting the community with her delicious baked goods. Her talents extended to being an extraordinary seamstress, creating beautiful clothing for herself and others, and she was known as a serious fashionista.

Clemmie Fullwood Jones transitioned from life to life eternal on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Willie James Jones; her bonus children, Odessa Jones, Norma Jones, Donna Faye Jones, and Quinton Jones; her brothers, James Arthur Fullwood, Dr. Ulysses Fullwood, and Samuel T. Fullwood, Jr.;

Evangelist Clemmie Fullwood Jones was an anointed Evangelist and singer, known for delivering God's word in a powerful, soul-stirring way through both word and song. Her life was a testament to her unyielding faith, compassion, and service to others.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her daughter, Angela Butler (Daryl) Rucker of Wesley Chapel, Florida; her bonus children, Robert (Geraldine) Jones of Vienna, Georgia, Rowena McGriff of Cordele, Georgia, and Iris Jones of Warner Robins, Georgia; her grandchildren, Anthony G. Martece McKinnis of Lutz, Florida and Julian T. Jaccar Rucker of Riverview, Florida; 20 bonus grandchildren; one great grandson, MiGeon M. McKinnis of Tampa, Florida; 31 bonus great  grandchildren; her sisters, Dorothy Mae Fullwood and Threatha Fullwood of East Point, Georgia; her sisters-in-law, Ethel Mae Fullwood and Addie Lou Jones of  Cordele, Georgia, Mattie Pearl Jones of Tifton, Georgia, and Susie (Julius) Thomas of Tallahassee, Florida; her brothers-in-law, George Jones of Connecticut, Ervine Jones and Arthur Roy Jones of Cordele, Georgia; her god daughters, Missionary Crystal F. Jones (niece) and Nikki Johnson; her foster sister, Kathy (Dr. Kenneth) Williams; many nieces and nephews, to include, Minister Wanda Ritchey, Vivian F. Daniels, Melissa Lavanta, Yolanda Culver; her great nieces, Sabrena R. Smith, Shemakea Fullwood, Enekia "Vonn" Bryant, and Arianna Culver; a host of other nieces and nephews; cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include her special friends, Mother Jessie K. Harmon, Barbara Jo Roberts, Geraldine Harvey, and Minister Thomas Rainey.
