Mrs. Emma L. Collier of 214 West 28th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at her residence.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Emma Lee Morgan Collier entered the world on Saturday, May 25, 1957. The daughter of Loss Morgan and Ida Mae Jones Morgan, she was born in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.
Emma attended Crisp County Public School, completed her required courses, and proudly graduated from Crisp County High School in 1975.
Emma was a remarkable woman of unwavering faith who served the Lord as a New Oak Grove Baptist Church member. She sang with the New Oak Grove Gospel Ensemble, served as Superintendent of the Sunday School, and was the Co-Chairlady of the Women's Ministry. She also served within her community as a member of the Ladies of Leisure.
Beloved for her contagious laughter and her creative style, Emma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She possessed a strong work ethic and was willing to help those she encountered along the way.
As a family, we bow in humble submission to the will of the Master, who lifted our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister from the cares of this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Her earthly journey will forever be cherished and remembered.
Emma leaves precious memories to her loving and devoted husband, Charles Collier of Cordele, Georgia; her loving and devoted children, Meiko Collier (Shamekia) and Kolandra Vicks (Jimmy) of Hampton, Georgia; her loving grandchildren, Shabria Collier, Tenasia Collier, Broderick Westbrook, Jr., Tania Collier, Jazmyne Vicks, and Jayden Vicks; her adored great-granddaughter, Alanna Vicks; her loving sisters, Omie Jean Blount of Chapel Hill, Florida and Deneyce Pressey of Cordele, Georgia; her caring brothers, Eddie Morgan (Jeanett) and Garner Morgan (Beulah) of Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
