Mrs. Ella Mae Jackson Harvey of 907 Davenport Street, Americus, Georgia died Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Magnolia Manor in Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Greater New Lebanon Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the New Lebanon Cemetery in Plains, Georgia.

On June 13, 1940, our beloved Ella Mae Jackson   Harvey was born in Sumter County, Georgia.  She was born to the late Mr. Carl Jackson, Sr. and Mrs.  Alter Mae Bussey Jackson.

She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County.

At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She loved going to church and she especially loved listening to gospel music.

She loved many things in life but she especially loved cooking.  She prepared many meals and each was prepared with love.

On Friday, November 24, 2023 her earthly journey came to an end.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Ms. Eva Jean  Jackson and Ms. Stella Mae Jackson; and her siblings, Ms. Frankie Mann, Mr. Carl Jackson, Jr. and Mr. Johnny B. Jackson.

Many wonderful memories of her life will cherished by her loving and devoted children, Diane Willis (Johnny) of Albany, Georgia, Joe Jackson (Sharon Johnson), Tracy Manning (Dennis Bess) and Calvin Harvey (Gloria Postell) all of Americus, Georgia; 22 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; her  loving sister, Josephine Smith of Americus, Georgia; her caring brothers, Walter Jackson, Sr. (Letha McCoy), Robert Jackson (Ovetta) and Andrew Jackson (Gussie) all of Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a devoted family friend, Cassandra J. Jackson.
