Mr. Eddie Joe Parker of 21596 GA Hwy 27, Vienna, Georgia died Monday, August 7, 2023.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Mr. Eddie Joe Parker was born January 21, 1970 in Crisp County, Georgia. He was born to the late Deacon Jerry Parker, Sr. and the late Mrs. Elois Jenkins Parker.
He received his education in the public schools of Crisp County. He was a 1988 graduate of Crisp County High School.
Joe was employed by Perdue Farms in Perry, Georgia. For over 10 years he worked as a Live Hanging Associate.
He was huge Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco 49ers fan. When not representing his teams, he enjoyed spending time with his dogs and playing music. He especially enjoyed sipping on some "sweet" tea whenever he could.
On Monday, August 7, 2023 he transitioned from this life.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Ednia Ruth Parker of Vienna, Georgia; his loving and caring children, Ms. Mattie L. (Eric) Cross of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Kasey D. Cross of McDonough, Georgia, Mr. Johnny (Terri) Willis, III and Ms. Pricilla M. Butts of Vienna, Georgia, and Ms. Sophilia V. Willis of Leslie, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his loving sisters, Ms. Samantha Parker of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ms. Linda Parker and Mrs. Veronica Young (Tony) Carswell of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Harriett Walker of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ms. Alfreda Parker of Florida; his beloved brothers, Mr. Dennis Parker of Iowa and Mr. Terry (Debra) Parker of Cordele, Georgia; a beloved uncle, Deacon Joe (Rosemary) Brown of Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Mr. Scotty (Shirley) West of Cordele, Georgia and Mr. Nathaniel (Cassandra) McWilliams, Sr.
