Mr. Eddie James Mitchell of 2627 Lansing Drive, Albany, Georgia died Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Emory Hilldale Hospital in Lithonia, Georgia.

The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saddler Cemetery in Lee County, Georgia.

In this life each of us is given a "book of rules" and a "bag of tools" to use as we complete life's journey. Eddie James Mitchell life's journey began on Saturday, July 14, 1945, in Lee County, Georgia. As a child he accepted Christ as his Lord of his life and united with the Mount Able Baptist Church.

With the rules he was taught and the bag of tools he was given, Eddie developed his skills as a building constructor. He was instrumental in the construction of many buildings in the Atlanta area. With his skillful hands and excellent work attitude, he was given many opportunities to work and make a living.

A lover of automobiles, Eddie would often reminisce about his favorite car, a Charger (RT). The love for automobiles was also clear as he followed the ups and downs of Slot Car Racing. He would often speak of attending the races in Dallas, Georgia. Eddie will lovingly be remembered as a considerate and fun-loving man who enjoyed an enjoyable conversation and a good homemade pound cake.

With his "book of rules" and "his bag of tools", Eddie James Mitchell lived a complete life of hope and joy.  His earthly journey came to a peaceful end on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the Emory Hilldale Hospital in Lithonia, Georgia. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him. With his "book of rules" and "his bag of tools", Eddie James Mitchell lived a complete life of hope and joy.  His earthly journey came to a peaceful end on  Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Emory Hilldale Hospital in Lithonia, Georgia.  He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
