Mr. Eddie B. Kendrick of 122 Essa Avenue, Ashburn, Georgia died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Pruitt Health in Ashburn, Georgia.

The memorial service will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Eddie B. Kendrick made his earthly departure on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Pruitt Health and Rehabilitation Center of Ashburn, Georgia.

Mr. Kendrick was born May 13, 1937 in Taylor County, Georgia.  He was the son of the late Deacon Roosevelt Kendrick, Sr. and the late Mother Ola Mae Cheese Kendrick of Cordele, Georgia

He was blessed with 14 siblings, 12 of which preceded him in death. Most recently, his sister, Mother Christine K. Wiggins, departed this life on January 14, 2022.  Eddie spent most of his life in New York City, where he met and married the late Carol Kendrick.  He was employed in the transportation field prior to relocating to Ashburn, Georgia.

He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted companion, Rachel Harrington of Ashburn, Georgia; his daughters: Cheryl K. Hunt (Alan Ray) of Suffolk, Virginia, Juanita Kendrick  of Hampton, Virginia, and Clara K. Glover of Hampton, Georgia; his stepson, Tracey Guiterrez of Bronx, New York; his grandchildren: Christopher (Ebony) Leonard, Roderick (Shaunbrelle) Haugabook, and Tevin Haugabook all of Hampton, Virginia, Victoria Glover of Hampton, Georgia; his great-grandchildren: Dominic, Courtney, and Ethan Leonard,  and Aubree Haugabook;  his sisters:  Mary K. Burrough of Cordele, Georgia and Martha K. Warren  of Warner Robins, Georgia; his god-daughter: Zekira Corey; a devoted niece, Brenda Kendrick, and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
