Ms. Debra Ann Miller of 306 South Hudson Street, Plains, Georgia died Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Miona Geriatric & Dementia Center in Ideal, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Lebanon Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery in Plains, Georgia.

A loving and caring spirit was born on January  31, 1960 when the  union of Joe Louis Miller and Johnnie Mae Polk Miller welcomed a daughter, Debra Ann.  Born in Sumter County, Georgia, she received her education from the public  school system and was a 1978 graduate of Plains High School.

A true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, she joined the Lebanon Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Champ Waters.  She faithfully attended and was an former member of the choir.

She enjoyed spending precious moments with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed taking walks.

On Monday, August 19, 2024, she transitioned from  this life to life eternal.  Her father, Joe Louis Miller; her grandparents, Hessie Bell (James) Lewis, John Arthur Polk and Louise Riggins; and her aunts and uncles, James Lewis, Charlie W. Lewis, Willie L. Clark, Patricia Lewis and Joe Franklin, each preceded her in death.

Her life and her love will be cherished by her loving and devoted mother, Johnnie Mae Miller of Plains, Georgia; her loving and devoted children, Shamonya Miller of Atlanta, Georgia, Darren Miller of Jackson, Georgia, and Karron (Stacey) Miller of Williston, Florida; her grandchildren, Na'Ziah, Ja'Quarius, Quadarius, Devontae, Trell, Kalon, Tyrone, Ricky, Savannah,  JaMarcus and Jerome; five great grandchildren; her beloved brothers, John (Tracey) Miller of Logansville, Georgia and Marvin Miller of Plains, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Miriam Franklin of Plains, Georgia, MacArthur "Mack" (Shirley) Polk of Americus, Georgia, and Eugene Lewis of Plains, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends, to include, Alberta Johnson Mitchell of Americus, Georgia, Barbara Ann Morgan of Plains, Georgia, and Janice Hollis of Warner Robins, Georgia.
