God's infinite wisdom blessed our lives with the beauty and joy of our beloved Deaconess Julia Ann Brown Mumphery. Julia was born September 21, 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born to the proud parentage of the late Mr. Eddie Lee Brown and the late Mrs. Annette Mitchell Brown.
Julia was educated in the public school system. She was a graduate of Alonzo A. Crim High School in Atlanta, Georgia.
A believer in Jesus Christ, Julia accepted him as her personal Lord and Savior. She united with the Mount Bethel Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Deaconess. She loved her church and was always willing to serve when asked.
Reading and spending time with her grandchildren were among the things that she loved to do. Her "place of happiness and peace" was the beach. A bright and happy person, she brought joy to everyone around her. She had a special way with children and treated all children like they were her own.
On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, our all knowing and loving God called Julia to a place of perfect rest.
Memories of her life and the joy she imparted will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Deacon Edward Lee Mumphery, Jr. of Hampton, Georgia; her loving and devoted children, Mr. Eric (Sylvia) Redding of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Armintha Mumphery and Mr. Edward Mumphery of Atlanta, Georgia; her adored grandchildren, Eric Redding, Jr. Erianna Redding, Kingston Mumphery and Eriel Redding; her loving sisters, Mrs. June (Kenneth) Sanders of Ellenwood, Georgia and Mrs. Mary (Keith) Brooks of Hampton, Georgia; her caring brothers, Mr. Harvey (Consuela) Brown and Mr. Eddie Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; her aunts, Mrs. Eloise Mitchell and Mrs. Patricia Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia; her beloved parents-in-law, Deacon Edward and Mrs. Ethell Mumphery of Cordele, Georgia; her sister-in-law, Ms. Sandra Mumphery of Covington, Georgia; her brother-in-law, Deacon Jeffery (Andrea) Mumphery of Cordele, Georgia; several nieces and nephews, to include a special niece, Ms. Tyleeshia (Selena) Hamer; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
