Deacon James Ezekial Holt of 415 Thornton Road, Vienna, Georgia died Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Cordele Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Spring Hill Baptist Church in Tippettville, Georgia. The burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.
James Ezekial Holt was born in Dooly County, Georgia on January 31, 1931. He was proudly welcome to this world by his parents, Herbert and Ida Mae Holt.
He was better known to family and friends as "Buddy Boy". Early in life he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Spring Hill Baptist Church. He was faithful to his church always willing to do whatever he could when called upon. An avid baseball fan, he will forever be remembered as one of the Atlanta Braves #1 fans.
On Friday, August 9, 2024, his earthly journey ended peacefully. His beloved wife, Susie and his children, James Holt, Jr., Yvonne Allen, Minnie Bell Johnson, Pauline Moody, and Velma Holt precede him in death. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Essie B. Holt, Lessie Holt, W. L. Holt, Gladys Holt Golden, J. D. Holt, Lucille Holt, Gallie Mae Holt, Jim Tom Holt, and Emma Holt Davis
Memories will forever live on in the hearts of his devoted children, James L. (Faye) Holt of Albany, Georgia, Margaret Henderson of Augusta, Georgia, Eloweese (Tommy) Moton of Nashville, Tennessee, Shirley (Arthur) Coleman of Swainsboro, Georgia, and Tommie (Marilyn) Moody of Midville, Georgia; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; a loving sister, Johnnie Mae Young of Nashville, Tennessee; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, to include Linda Sue Anderson of Vienna, Georgia and Plezie "D Boy" Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia and many sorrowing friends.
