United States Army Veteran, Deacon Charles Edward Clark of 143 Russell Street, NE, Warwick, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Warwick, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Fort Early Church Cemetery in Warwick, Georgia.

A Time to Be Born :  Deacon Charles Edward Clark entered the world on July 27, 1962, in Worth County, Georgia. He was born to Jerry Lee Clark, Sr. and Mary Francis Clark, who instilled in him values of love, community, and  dedication.

A Time to Learn :  Charles pursued his education with diligence and graduated from Worth County High School in Sylvester, Georgia, in 1980. His formative years were marked by a commitment to learning and personal growth.

A Time to Serve :  Answering the call to serve his country, Charles joined the United States Army, where he dedicated himself to the nation and earned an Honorable discharge. In addition to his military service, Charles was deeply committed to his faith. He became a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Warwick, Georgia, at an early age and was later ordained as a deacon. As vice chairman of the deacons, he received a plaque of recognition in 2017, "Let You Light So Shine", symbolizing his devotion to the Lord and the church. Additionally, he was an active member of the Sylvester-Worth County Branch of the NAACP.

A Time to Love :  In 2006, Charles married Linda Gail Little, beginning a new chapter filled with love and partnership. Together, they built a life rooted in  mutual respect and affection.

A Time to Give :  Professionally, Charles was a dedicated truck driver for Alabama Motor Express. His career was marked by noteworthy achievements, including receiving recognition for nine years of service in 2006, a Defensive Driving & Safety Awareness award in 2009, and an accolade for his 25-year tenure (1997-2022). Beyond his professional accolades, Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and a committed deacon.

A Time to Die :  Deacon Charles Edward Clark peacefully transitioned on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. His passing marked the end of a life lived with purpose. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents.

A Time to Mourn :  Cherished memories of Charles will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Linda Gail Little Clark of Warwick, Georgia; his daughters, RyKeria Mathis of Alabama and Shwanda Little of Tifton, Georgia; his son, Cedric Little of Tifton, Georgia; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his brothers, Jerry Clark and Willie Clark of Warwick, Georgia; his sister, Brenda Lee Jones (David) of Warwick, Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Louise Williams of Oakfield, Georgia, Flora Cameron of Boston, Massachusetts, Edward Williams of Warwick, Georgia, and Walter Williams of Douglas, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, a very devoted friend, Greg Brown of  Albany, Georgia.
