Deacon Raymond Anderson of 512 North 3rd Street, Vienna, Georgia died Thursday, October 24, 2024, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of J. W. Williams Funeral Home, Cordele Georgia.  The burial will be at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.

Deacon Raymond Anderson, the son of the late Mr. George Holmes and Ms. Ella Anderson, was born April 12, 1946.  Born in Dooly County, he received his education from the public school system.  He was a graduate of Vienna High & Industrial School.

Early in life he accepted Christ as his Savior and united with the Spring Hill Baptist Church in Tippettville, Georgia.  He was ordained as a deacon under the leadership of Reverend W. J. Harris.  Deacon Anderson moved his membership to the Free Providence Baptist Church in Vienna, Georgia.  He was active member until his death.

Raymond was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He was known to many as "Prince Albert."  He never met a stranger and could be found talking to anyone.

The owner of B&A Trucking, he had also been employed by Mark & Ronnie Everage Farm.  After many years of dedicated service, he retired from the Southern State Company in Pinehurst, Georgia.

Raymond was a member of Franklin Lodge #210.  At the time of his passing, he was a member of Storm Reaperz Biker Club in Warner Robins, Georgia.  He had also been a member of the Thunder Hawks, Americus, Georgia, We Be Crusin' and the Dooly Riders of Vienna, Georgia.

On Thursday morning, October 24, 2024, he surrendered to the will of the Lord.   Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Elnora Anderson and his siblings,  Mr. Thomas Anderson Mrs. Sylvester Thomas, and Mr. Pete Anderson.

He leaves many wonderful memories to his children, Deacon Zachery Fields (Lavetta) and Ms. Shayla Anderson of Vienna, Georgia and Mr. Ramon Towns of Byromville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Ms. Alicia Harris, Mr. Zactorres Fields, Mr. Kurtavis Smith, Ms. Kierro Owens, Mr. Braylon Anderson, Ms. Brielle Hardrick, Ms. Quincee Taylor, and Ms. Kenyotta Williams; his great grandchildren, Kamaya Harris, Amarion Harris, Anyiah Williams, Quirion Coley, Avery Fields, Zactorres Fields, Jr., and Zymir Fields; his beloved companion, Ms. Darcey Felder of Vienna, Georgia; his godson, Mr. Darrick Dawson; his loving sisters,  Ms. Grace Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia and Ms. Tanya Dean of Macon,   Georgia; his beloved brothers, Deacon Harry Anderson (Mary) of Vienna, Georgia, Mr. David Anderson (Sylvia) of Willington, North Carolina, Mr. Steve Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. George Holmes of Chicago, Illinois; his in-laws, Deacon Willie Fields (Jeanette), Deacon Roger Fields (Alene), Mr. Freddie Fields (Rasheeda), Deacon Arthur Wright (Evelyn), Mrs.   Bonnie Bullard, Ms. Sarah Spivey, Ms. Sherry Cotton, Ms. Carolyn Smith, Mrs. Joann Harrell (Robert), Ms. Phyllis Wright, Ms. Vonnie Dowdell, and Mrs. Christine Anderson; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, a host of other relatives and friends, to include special friends, Mr. Tom Lawson, Mr. Rucklie Hamilton, Mr. Allen Rucker, Mr. Willie Brown, Mr. Tony Whitfield, Mr. Kenneth Mathis, Deacon Lonnie Clayton, Mr. Demond  Owens, Ms. Belinda Owens, Ms. Tiarra Owens, Ms. Tammy Owens, Ms. Starleich Owens, Ms. Calani Harris, Mr. Tylan Harris, Mr. Tydrian Taylor, Ms. Kendra Holt, and Mr. Jaylen Hodo.
