Mr. Damon Daniels, Jr. of Decatur, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Crisp County Middle School Gymnasium in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Macedonia Church Cemetery, Drayton Community, Vienna, Georgia.
Mr. Damon Daniels, Jr. was born on April 23, 1951, in Vienna, Georgia, to the late Mr. Damon Daniels, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lucile Foster Daniels. Damon received his education at Vienna High Industrial School, graduating in 1970.
He came to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church, where he grew in faith and fellowship. A dedicated and self-employed painter, Damon took great pride in his craft and found joy in all the work he devoted himself to with care and precision.
Damon had a deep love for music and dancing, bringing life and joy to every occasion. He was also renowned among family and friends for his masterful grilling skills and the warmth he shared through his cooking and hospitality.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Damon Daniels, Sr., and Mrs. Lucile Foster Daniels, and by his beloved sister, Lilla Daniels Bell.
Mr. Daniels leaves to cherish his precious memories his two daughters, Ms. April Cross of Cordele, Georgia, and Ms. Daniella Cross of Cordele, Georgia; two sisters, Annie Daniels Gordon of Decatur, Georgia, and Ms. Minnie Daniels of Decatur, Georgia; three brothers, Mr. Willie Daniels of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Charlie Daniels of Lithonia, Georgia, and Mr. Leonard Daniels (Gerolyn) of Ellenwood, Georgia; brother-in-law, Mr. Bedarius Bell, Sr. of Gainesville, Georgia; sister-in-love, Ms. Justine Daniels of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and sorrowing friends.
