Mrs. Cynthia Michelle Johnson affectionately known as "Chelle" of 404 West 20th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Friday, June 23, 2023.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Ark of God in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

On June 1, 1965, Cynthia Michelle Johnson was welcomed to this world by her loving parents, David Lee Johnson, Sr. and Trudie Mae Cooks Johnson.  "Chelle," as she was called by her family and friends, was born in Cordele, Crisp    County,  Georgia.

Chelle was enrolled in the public schools of Crisp County.  She continued her education and became a 1983 graduate of Crisp County High School.  She continued her education by attending South Georgia Technical College.  She completed courses and became a CNA in 1988.  She continued  studying and completed her Business Management courses in 1994.  In 2001, she completed the courses for Cosmetology.

She had a heart of gold and possessed a loving and caring spirit that has never been seen. She was an awesome mother and an amazing friend and let's not forget a fearless protector.

She was employed as an officer from 2013 - 2015.  She was always a member of management throughout her years of employment.

On Friday, June 23, 2023, Chelle transitioned from this life.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Charles Johnson and James Cooks;  and her grandparents,  David & Mamie Johnson and Charlie & Fannie Mae Cooks.

She leaves many special memories to her loving and caring family:  her husband, Mr. Derrick Johnson; her children, Mr. Batravious Johnson, Mr. Lavarius Johnson and Ms. DaCora  Johnson (Adrian) all of Cordele, Georgia; her grandchildren, BreAsia Johnson, Batravious Johnson, Bryce Smith, Lavarus Johnson, Jr., Tavarus Johnson, Brianna Bobb, Nyasia Wright, Jamari Homer, Adarian  Enanoria, and DaLani Enanoria; two great grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Elder Alonzo Johnson and (Diane), Pastor David Johnson, Jr. (Cynthia), Mrs. Latrell Morris (Ronnie), and Ms. Gina McMichaels of Cordele, Georgia, and Mr. Leonard Daniels (Geralyn) of Atlanta, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Deacon Bobby  Barner, Sr., Mrs. Ruby Singleton, and Mrs.  Annie L. Felton all of Cordele, Georgia; her nieces and nephews, a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
