United States Army Veteran, Mr. Clifford Ramsey of 1715 Turner Street, Cordele, Georgia, died Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Westview Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your mask.
Clifford Ramsey was born on March 19, 1937, in Eufaula, Alabama, to the late Mr. Willie Lee Ramsey and the late Ms. Mollie Campbell. His formative years were spent in Ellaville, Georgia, where he was an active participant in the public school system. Clifford graduated from Ellaville High School in 1956, marking the beginning of a life dedicated to service and family.
After finishing high school, Clifford enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country with dignity and honor, embodying the values of dedication and patriotism that defined his life. His commitment to service extended beyond the military as he became a respected member of the American Legion Post 542, where he diligently served as Treasurer for many years.
Clifford's life was a testament to love and family. He married and together they built a nurturing home in Cordele, Georgia.
On Sunday, April 12, 2026, Clifford peacefully slipped away at 9:00 PM at Crisp Regional Hospital. His final year was marked by the loving care of his granddaughter, Shenekia Walker, who was by his side, providing comfort and support.
Clifford Ramsey's earthly journey may have concluded, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Isaiah Walker, Jr. and his grandson, Leonard Patrick, Jr.
His legacy is carried on by his wife, Linda Walker Ramsey of Cordele, Georgia; his children: Larry Patrick, Leonard (Shirley) Patrick, Antoine Ramsey, Melanie Ramsey, Roddriekius Powell, Latresiount Jones, Michael Newberry, Melissa Walker, Sharon (Germaine) Weaver, Marcus (Kim) Walker of Lumpkin, Georgia, and Demetrius (Kindra) Walker of Gainesville, Georgia; his bonus children, Early Battle and Frankie Waters, Jr.; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
