Mr. Charles Johnson, Jr. of 5150 US Hwy 41, North, Ashburn, Georgia died Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Madison Avenue Church of God By Faith in Ashburn, Georgia. The burial will follow at Westview Memorial Garden in Ashburn, Georgia.
Mr. Charles Johnson, Jr. was born April 22, 1950 in Turner County, Georgia to the late Mr. Johnny B. Leggett and the late Mrs. Beulah J. Leggett Crockett.
He was educated in the public schools of Turner County. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Church of God By Faith.
On Monday, November 20, 2023, he transitioned from this life. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Barbara and Mary; his brothers, William Leggett, Dannie Leggett, and Eugene Leggett.
Memories of his life will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted family: his wife, Vickie S. Johnson of Ashburn, Georgia; his children, Terry Grant of California, Charles Johnson, III of Dublin, Georgia, James Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia, Kenneth Johnson of Ashburn, Georgia, Angeleek Douglas of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jessica Morgan of Tifton, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; his sisters, Virginia (John Barber) Smith and Jessie M. Leggett of Ashburn, Georgia, Yvonne Simms of Detroit, Michigan, Terri S. Brown of Ashburn, Georgia and Shirley Tubbs of South Carolina; his brothers, Dale Griffin of South Carolina, Johnnie Leggett, Jr. of Texas, and Richard Leggett of Las Vegas; his in-laws, Joann Leggett and Betty Leggett of Ashburn, Georgia and Helen Shine of Tifton, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Troy Mayo and Hank Folsom of Ashburn, Georgia.
