Mr. Cedrick Lamar Young of 631 West Pine Street, Vienna Georgia died Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 3:30 PM in the sanctuary of the Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Lilly, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Forest Chapel Church Cemetery in Pinehurst, Georgia.
On Thursday, March 3, 1983, Cedrick Lamar Young was born in Dooly County, Georgia. He was born to the late Mr. Johnnie Felton and the late Ms. Dorothy Towns Young.
Cedrick began his educational journey in the public schools of Dooly County. He earned his high school diploma from the Dooly County High School. His quest for higher learning continued at South Georgia Technical College where he earned a diploma in Welding.
Early in his life he was introduced to the Lord, Jesus Christ. He accepted Christ and became a member of the Turkey Creek Baptist Church in Lilly, Georgia.
Cedrick's life was filled with many wonderful things. He enjoyed special moments with his children and other family members. A talented individual, he enjoyed tranquil moments as he expressed himself through his drawings.
On Thursday, August 22, 2024, Cedrick's life journey came to a peaceful end. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ms. Stephanie Young, Mr. Gregory Young, and Mr. Tommy Clark.
His life and his love will be cherished by his loving and devoted children, Ms. Ce'Driyona Young and Mr. Jaelyn Young both of Cordele, Georgia; his beloved grandson, Bryson Kai Wilson of Cordele, Georgia; his loving sisters, Mrs. Linda Lloyd (James) of Athens, Georgia, Ms. Verneda Young of Vienna, Georgia, Mrs. Serena Melton (Lee) of Morven, North Carolina and Ms. Felicia Young of Vienna, Georgia; his caring brothers, Mr. Willie James Young, Jr. of Unadilla, Georgia, Mr. Sammy Young (Jannifer) of Killeen, Texas, Mr. Willie Joe Young (Yerlondra) of San Antonio, Texas, Mr. Rodney Young (Nekita) of Albany, Georgia, Mr. Scottie Hardrick of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Dairy Young (Debbie) of Vienna, Georgia, and Mr. Garrett Young of Temple, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Sharal Young of Vienna, Georgia; his aunts and uncle, Mrs. Dorothy Leggett of Hawkinsville, Georgia, Ms. Aliene Felton of Vienna, Georgia, and Mr. Walter Felton (Jeanette) of Lilly, Georgia; a great aunt, Mrs. Julia Mae Turner of Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
