Mr. Casey Bernard Patrick better known as "Doc" of 1215 East Blue Lane, Cordele, Georgia died Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
A TIME TO BE BORN : On August 25, 1966 a precious baby boy was born to the late Mr. William Addie, Jr. and the late Ms. Elizella Patrick of New York. He was given the name, Casey Bernard Patrick.
A TIME TO LEARN : Doc, as he was called by everyone who knew him, was educated at Job Corp in Albany, Georgia. He successfully earned his high school diploma as well as a Welding Certificate in 1985. He loved basketball and football. His favorite teams were the New York Giants, the New York Knicks and the New York Yankees.
A TIME TO LOVE : In April of 2004, Casey and Vanessa were joined together as husband and wife. Doc was a very devoted husband. He was also a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. While it is true that he loved all of his family, he had a special love for his grandchildren.
A TIME TO LAUGH : He was always smiling. He will be remembered as a joyful and cheerful person, who was the "life of the party". Doc enjoyed many special moments of laughter with his puppy, Yazz Patrick.
A TIME TO BUILD : Anyone who knew Doc, knew that he was not afraid to work. Over the years he became a very dedicated and loyal employee of Golden Foundry. He was the Senior Furnace Operator for the Melt Deck and as always he was the "life of the plant".
A TIME OF PEACE : Mr. Casey Bernard Patrick departed this life on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 12:23 AM at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia. He has now gone to be with his Lord and Savior in that beautiful home in the sky. He is preceded in death by many family members, to include two aunts who reared him, Fannie Johnson and Willie Eva Patrick.
Memories of his life are left to his loving and devoted family: his wife, Vanessa Patrick of Cordele, Georgia; his children, Zacorey Patrick and Tirza Dennard both of Cordele, Georgia, Javoskie Walker of Atlanta, Georgia, Andaveious Walker Harvey and Jasmine Hardeman both of Cordele, Georgia, and Ebony Shiloh of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren, Markhyia Baldwin, Markhira Baldwin, Mar'Zaria Hardeman, Chayce Walker-Harvey, Cahlyia Walker, Jaliee Walker, Naitaisha Shiloh, and Romel Shiloh; his sisters, Regina (Rodney) Robinson of Tennessee, Daphne Henderson, Pamela (Frank) Collier and Partina (Clarence) Caine of Orlando, Florida; his brothers, Eric Keith Putman of Atlanta, Georgia and Quinton (Zulke) Addie of Orlando, Florida; an aunt, Sarah Curry of Macon, Georgia; his godparents, Billy and Thomasina Poole; his in-laws, Cynthia (Tyrone) Benjamin, Shameka Brown, Willie Jr. (Betty) Walker, Fredrick Walker and Corey (Shekie) Reese all of Cordele, Georgia; eight nieces; five nephews; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
