Mrs. Carrie Lee Youngblood McCormick of 1177 Railroad Avenue, Rochelle, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at her residence.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Mount Air Church Cemetery in Pineview, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Mrs. Carrie Lee Youngblood McCormick, born on March 8, 1945, in Wilcox County, Georgia, will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother and cherished member of the Rochelle community. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Willie Youngblood, Sr., and the late Mrs. Gladys West Youngblood. She was educated in the public schools of Wilcox County, where she developed a lifelong love for her community.
Carrie was known for her unwavering faith and her dedication to serving the Lord. Her life was a testament to her faith, as she touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and compassion.
Our beloved mother was a beacon of love and resilience, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Carrie's life was a blessing, and her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Yet, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at her home.
Her legacy lives on through her loving and devoted children: Mr. Wayne McCormick (Everett Wilson), Ms. Debra McCormick, and Mr. Cedward McCormick all of Rochelle, Georgia; four caring grandchildren; her loving sisters, Mrs. Lelia Mae Youngblood Gibson, Mrs. Violet Youngblood Lester, and Mrs. Mamie Lee Youngblood Grace, all of Rochelle, Georgia; her beloved brothers, Mr. Eddie Youngblood (Ruby) and Mr. Willie Youngblood both of Rochelle, Georgia; her aunt, Mrs. Ester B. West of Pitts, Georgia; a beloved family friend, Mrs. Barbara Benjamin of Rochelle, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friend.
