Mrs. Carolyn Ann Black Peacock of 545 Gregory Street, Vienna, Georgia, died Monday, July 28, 2025, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 4:30 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.

Carolyn Ann Black Peacock was born on June 28, 1959, in Vienna, Georgia.  She was a beloved daughter of Calvin Black, Sr. and Rosa Lee Jordan Black.  A devoted servant of Jehovah and cherished member of the Vienna congregation, she entered eternal rest on July 28, 2025. Like Lazarus, a dear friend of Jesus, Carolyn now peacefully sleeps in anticipation of the promise of resurrection.

Carolyn was educated in the public schools of Dooly County and graduated from Unadilla High School in 1978. Her passion for caring for others led her to further her education at South Georgia Technical College, where she earned certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her dedication to her profession was matched only by her devotion to her faith.

Baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Carolyn remained a faithful member of the Vienna congregation throughout her life. Her unwavering commitment to her beliefs was evident in her daily life and interactions with others. Carolyn's kind spirit and steadfast dedication to her faith were a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Connie Lumpkin Hill and Isaac Lee Black, Carolyn now rests in peace, awaiting the resurrection promised in her faith. Her life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and dedication. Carolyn Ann Black Peacock will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind.

Carolyn's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Henry Lee Peacock of Vienna, Georgia, her cherished godchild, Diamond Black; her loving sisters, Gertrude Vernice Bryant (James) of Drayton, Georgia, Jacquelyn Black Hoyt of Unadilla, Georgia, Eura Lois Billingslea, and Bernita West, both of Vienna, Georgia; her caring brothers, Calvin Black, Jr. of Pinehurst, Georgia, Gerald Tyrone Black of McDonough, Georgia, Terry Clay Black (Seletha) of Perry, Georgia, and Willie Lamar Black of Pinehurst, Georgia; her aunts, Annie Ruth Jordan of Vienna, Georgia, Yvonne Jordan of St. Petersburg, Florida, Vernette Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Ernestine Jordan of Orlando, Florida; her father-in-law, Henry Peacock, Sr. (Nettie) of Vienna, Georgia; her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Peacock and Catherine Peacock (Clyde Cheese) of Vienna, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends, all of whom were touched by her kindness and generosity.
