Ms. Carolyn Carithers of Cordele, Georgia died Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Ms. Carolyn Gaddy Carithers journey began on August 17, 1950 in Butler, Georgia. She was lovingly welcomed to this world by Johnny Frank Carithers and Fostine O'Neal Carithers.
Carolyn was educated in the public schools of Wilcox County, Georgia. She accepted Christ as Lord of her life at an early age when she united with the Sandridge Baptist Church.
The journey came to a peaceful end on Monday, June 3, 2024. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Mr. Charles Leon Gaddy; her parents; her sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hall, Mrs. Beatrice Thompson, Mrs. Annie Mansfield-Knight, and Mrs. Patricia Childs; her brothers, Mr. Charles Jones, Mr. Harold Carruthers, and Mr. Joseph Carruthers.
Those who will cherish her memory forever are her loving and devoted son, Mr. Robert Leon Gaddy of Cordele, Georgia; her beloved grandchildren, Robert Jr., Zahnaria, King, Amari, Koby, Macynn, and Major; her great grandchildren, Imani, KaMari; her loving sister, Mrs. Emma Glasco of Pompano Beach, Florida; her beloved brothers, Mr. Ollie Carruthers of Atlanta, Georgia and Mr. Willie James Carruthers of Americus, Georgia; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Francis Wailder of Reynolds, Georgia; her sisters-in-law, Ms. MayBell Searcy, Ms. Sally Dye, and Mrs. Gloria Gaddy; her brother-in-law, Mr. Eugene Gaddy; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
