Mr. Calvin Lamar Glenn of 510 East 13th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Mr. Calvin Lamar Glenn was born December 4, 1976 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  He was born to Mr. Judge Glenn and Mrs. Bernice Blanks Glenn.  After the passing of his mother, he was raised by his father and stepmother, Mrs. Tommie Quarterman Glenn.

Calvin was educated in the public schools of Crisp County.  He was introduced to the Lord at the Saint Paul Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed being with his family.  Grilling, fishing, playing baseball, basketball, and kickball were other activities he also enjoyed.

On Saturday, April 9, 2022, he peacefully slipped away from the cares of his life.  He is preceded in death by his mother, his grandmothers, Mrs. Carrie Blanks and Mrs. Ruby Quarterman; his sisters, Ms. Princella Glenn, Ms. Judgie Mae Glenn, and Ms. Barba Ann Glenn; his brother, Mr. Jackie Ray Glenn; his aunt, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Hoskins; his uncles, Deacon Henry Cross, Sr. and Mr. Rufus Hoskins; his nephews, Mr. Keith Palmer and Mr. Kerry Bernard Glenn, and his cousin, Mr. Jessie James Blanks, Jr.

He leaves many special memories to his loving and devoted parents, Mr. Judge and Mrs. Tommie Glenn of Cordele, Georgia; his loving sisters, Mrs. Nebbie (Henry) Cross of Cordele, Georgia and Mrs. Crystal (Robert) Merrell of Vienna, Georgia; his beloved brothers, Mr. Charlie Glenn (Vashica Felder) of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Preston (Felicia) Glenn and Mr. Willie Mack (Kowanda) Glenn of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Joseph Glenn (Mary Davis) of Cordele, Georgia; one uncle, Mr. Otis James (Mary Frances) Blanks and Mr. Jessie James Blanks, Sr. both of  Cordele, Georgia; three aunts, Ms. Louise Quarterman, Mrs. Elnora Cross and Pastor Rosa (Billy) Sanford all of Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
