Obituary

Miss Calvesa Yvette Davis of 105 Peachtree Street, Americus, Georgia died Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Noon in the sanctuary of the Friendship Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

On November 23, 1979 an angel was born to Mr. Silas Bullard and Mrs. Carolyn J. Davis Brown.  Born in Americus, Sumter County,  Georgia, Given the name, Calvesa Yvette, she touched the hearts of everyone she met with her beautiful smile.

Calvesa received her education in the Americus City Schools where she was a 1998 graduate of Americus High School.  She attended the Fort Valley State University and continued her  education at Darton State College where she received her BS degree in Chemistry.

Calvesa accepted Christ at an early age.  She was baptized at New Saint Paul Baptist Church.

She was a caring, loving and compassionate mother, daughter, sister, friend and co-worker.  It was obvious to everyone who knew her that she loved Wal-Mart Pharmacy.  Her big smile and unique laugh would greet you before she would.  She worked faithfully at Wal-Mart Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Tech for 19 years.  Her spirit will live on forever through her precious daughter and family.

On Wednesday, April 6, 2022 our beautiful angel on earth transitioned to our beautiful angel in heaven.  She is preceded in death by her aunts and uncles, Ms. Bernice Davis, Ms. Irene Thomas, Ms. Gwen Bullard, Mr. Glenn Bullard and Mr. Henry D. Woods.

Her life will forever be cherished by her adored and precious   daughter, Little Miss Zuri E. Bridges of Americus, Georgia; her loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Carolyn Davis-Brown of  Americus, Georgia and her beloved and caring father, Mr. Silas Bullard of Americus, Georgia; a loving sister, Mrs. Crystal (Benford) Stokes of Americus, Georgia; her caring brother, Mr. Corey Davis of Sandy Springs, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Mrs. Earnestine (George) Maddox of Albany, Georgia, Mrs. Ruby (Mike) Harris of Americus, Georgia, Mrs. Donna (Pete) Holly of East Hartford, Connecticut, Ms. Debra Spence of Hartford, Connecticut, Ms. Teresa Davis of East Hartford, Connecticut, Ms. Annie Ruth Tookes, Mrs. Geneva (Roy) Mayes, and Ms. Bobbie Jean (Robert) McCoy all of Americus Georgia, Ms. Mary Ann Bullard, Mrs. Shirley (Ben) Reeves, and Mr. John Henry (Mary) Bullard all of Eatonton, Georgia, Ms. Mary Lois Bullard of Seattle, Washington, Mr. Paul (Pat) Bullard of Conyers, Georgia, Mr. Willie (Jeanette) Bullard of Decatur, Georgia, Mr. Willie Lewis Bullard of   Seattle, Washington, and Mr. Willie Joe (Lillie) Price of Decatur, Georgia; a niece and nephew whom she considered as her own children, Ms. Arianna Stokes and Mr. Adaultha Stokes both of Americus, Georgia; her godmother, Ms. Janie Sims; her goddaughter, Miss Charity Williams of Americus, Georgia; Little Zuri's godmother, Ms. Dimitra Slay-Little of Warner Robins, Georgia; a host of cousins, to include three loving and devoted cousins, Ms. Tundra Maddox, Mr. Tavis Maddox, and Mr. Charles Jones; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends
