Ms. Calonda Chanta Walker of 513 West 13th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Calonda Chanta Walker was welcomed to this world on October 2, 1975 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  She was born to Ms. Louise Walker and Mr. Leroy Bass.

As a child, she was enrolled in the public school system of Crisp County.  She confessed hope in Christ and united with the Odum Grove Baptist Church.

Londa, as she was known to her family and friends, loved to be around family and friends.  She will always be remembered for the joy that showed on her face when she was simply just having fun.

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, as a family we accepted that the joy Londa imparted through her laughter and smile would be no more.  While her voice and her smile will no longer be with us, we take comfort in knowing that she will live in our hearts forever.  She is preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Hamilton, Jr. and her grandmother, Ms. Dicie Walker.

Her memory and her earthly journey will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted children, Ms. Alexius Hamilton, Mr. Demarcus Walker, and Mr. Keonte Thomas all of Cordele,  Georgia; her loving grandchildren: Jaden, Jeremiah, Kaitlyn, Sevyn, Dynver, Diyez, and Kelih; her loving mother, Ms. Louise   Walker of Cordele, Georgia; her beloved father, Mr. Leroy Bass, Sr. and his wife, Mrs. Joanne Bass of Cordele, Georgia; her    loving sisters, Mrs. Veronica Paul and her companion, Mr. Reginald Lawrence of Cordele, Georgia, Mrs. Shenita Bridges and her husband, Mr. Michael Bridges of Fort Worth, Texas, Ms. Dawanda Walker, Mrs. Shemeka Sanders and her husband, Mr. Vernon Sanders, and Ms. Sherieka Walker all of Cordele, Georgia; her beloved brothers, Mr. Robert Manning of Cordele, Georgia and Mr. Mark Walker and his wife, Mrs. Collie Walker of Atlanta, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Mr. Isiah Walker, Sr. of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Vanessa Walker of Valdosta, Georgia, and Mr. William Bass and his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Bass of Cordele, Georgia; her beloved companion, Mr. Elbert Adams of Cordele, Georgia; her nieces and nephews:  Johnesia, Trae, Marquion,  Michael, John Jr., J. T., James Jr., Gary Jr., A'derious, Dewane Jr., Ykeeshia (Latoya), Aaliyah, Mineka, and Latoria (Lacourtez); many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends .
