Mr. C. T. Rockwell, Jr. of 201 NW Main Street, Warwick, Georgia, died Friday, December 12, 2025, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Blue Spring Baptist Church in Warwick, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Oakfield, Georgia.

C. T. Rockwell, Jr., affectionately known as "Sonny," was born on October 8, 1946, in Worth County, Georgia, to C. T. Rockwell and Ella Lee Curry Rockwell. Raised in the Worth County Public School System, his formal education was abbreviated as he entered the workforce early, gaining a wealth of knowledge through a life rich in experience, hard work, and determination.

From a young age, Sonny's life was anchored in faith. He became a member of Blue Spring Baptist Church, where he nurtured a personal relationship with God that remained steadfast throughout his life. His spiritual journey provided him with strength and guidance, qualities that were evident in every aspect of his life.

Sonny was a devoted husband to Earnestine Gamble Rockwell, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a cherished brother. His family was his world, and he poured love and care into each relationship. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Charles Nelson, and his siblings, Henry Rockwell, Loistene Rockwell Griffin, Johnny Rockwell, Mae Ola Rockwell, James Rockwell Louise Freeman Griffin, and Patricia Carter, but leaves behind a large family who continue to cherish his memory.

Sonny's work ethic was exemplary. He retired from Champion International after 30 years of dedicated service. Even after retirement, his industrious nature led him to work at Senah Plantation and Mercer Mills until his health no longer allowed. His commitment to his work was a testament to his perseverance and integrity.

An outdoorsman at heart, Sonny found joy in the simple pleasures of gardening and fishing. He relished spending quality time with his family in the great outdoors. A true jack of all trades, his remarkable ability to fix almost anything was well known, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

C. T. Rockwell, Jr.'s life was one shaped in love, faith, and resilience. His  legacy is one of devotion, hard work, and a deep love for his family and  community.

As his loved ones gather to honor his life, they carry forward his spirit of  kindness and generosity, ensuring that his memory will continue to inspire future generations. On Friday,  December 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his wife, Earnestine Gamble Rockwell of Warwick, Georgia; his children, Michelle (Tony) King of Cordele, Georgia, Michael (Joann) Rockwell of Griffin, Georgia, Mary Ann (Dexter) Williams of Warwick, Georgia, Brenda (Henry) Alexis and Angela (Anthony) Wright of Cordele, Georgia, Charles (Regina) King of Tifton, Georgia, James King of Ashburn, Georgia, Terrance (Tamaiki) King, Sr. of Killeen, Texas, and Bobby (Dr. Kmarie) King of Albany, New York; 36 grandchildren, to include the grandchildren he raised, Keandrea Prater of Albany, Georgia, Quentalon Rockwell of Atlanta, Georgia, Courtney Smith of Perry, Georgia, and Gernard Hawkins of Warwick, Georgia, Malala King of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Kenyattie Clark of Cordele, Georgia; 38 great grandchildren, to include, Cordashia Smith; his sisters, Ora Lee Morris of Warwick, Georgia, Catherine Currelley of Ashburn, Georgia, Dorothy (Reverend Robert) Smith of Oakfield, Georgia, Linda (Reverend Willie) Felton of Cordele, Georgia, and Vernice (Nehemiah) Johnson of Jonesboro, Georgia; his brother, Curtis (Josie) Rockwell of Leesburg, Georgia; his aunts, Ruby Curry of Sylvester, Georgia and Bessie Curry of Albany, Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Juanita Rockwell of Warwick, Georgia, Lilly Rockwell of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Shirley Ann Thomas of Columbus, Georgia; his brother-in-law, Johnny B. (Janice) Gamble of Warwick, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
