United States Army Veteran, Brother Earlie Gene Carter of 1103 South 15th Street, Cordele, Georgia passed away Friday, October 4th at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
In loving celebration, we remember Mr. Earlie Gene Carter, revered by many in the Islamic community as Sheikh Al Falah Muhammad. Mr. Carter leaves behind a legacy of service, wisdom, and compassion.
Born in 1944, Mr. Carter dedicated his life to defending his country as a proud member of the United States Army at a young age. He served honorably during the Vietnam War, where he exhibited courage and valor, earning him the prestigious Purple Heart medal. His bravery, both in combat and in life, will forever be remembered.
Following his military service, Mr. Carter embarked on a path of healing as a self-taught herbalist, gaining the admiration of those both in and outside the professional medical community. Through his holistic practices, he touched the lives of countless individuals, providing natural remedies and offering hope to those seeking wellness and balance..
Mr. Carter, as Sheikh Al Falah Muhammad, was a respected figure in Islamic communities across the United States and the Middle East. His spiritual guidance, knowledge, and compassion made him a beacon for many who sought peace and understanding, and wisdom.
Mr. Carter peacefully joined his beloved parents, the late Mr. John Lee Carter and the late Mrs. Mammie Lou Stokes Carter Haddock. He is the brother of the late Mr. John Calvin Carter (spouse of Mrs. Betty Gene Carter), the late Mrs. Ouida Carter Barlow (spouse of Mr. Kenneth Barlow), the late Mrs. Juanita Carter Holmes (spouse of the late Mr. Holmes), and the late Mrs. Geneva Carter Montgomery (spouse of Mr. Clarence Montgomery). He is the father of the late Mr. Hamzar Muhammad.
Mr. Carter is survived by a loving family: his brother Mr. John Eddie Wiggins (spouse of Evelyn Wiggins); his daughter Burtrenif Darcel Price Morgan (spouse of Rev. Ulysses Morgan, Jr.); his daughter Mahasin Muhammad Napper (spouse of Edward Napper); his daughter Saleemah Muhammad; his six grandchildren- Marcus Sanifu Dean (spouse of Jakessia Dean), Natalie C. Dean, Bishop J. Staley, Edward M. Staley, Shakil Jenkins Muhammad, and Nizir Muhammad; and his five great-grandchildren.
His presence will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate to have known him. May his soul rest in eternal paradise, and may his memory continue to inspire us all, in the name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful.
