Mrs. Brenda Gail Price Ford of 412 East 27th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia, died Monday, May 18, 2026, at Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of the St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Brenda Gail Price Ford, our beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully transitioned to her eternal rest on May 18, 2026, just two days shy of her 71st birthday.   Brenda's earthly journey began on May 20, 1955, in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia, when she was born to the late Jake Price and the late Autry Mae Price.

Brenda was educated in the public school system of Crisp County, proudly graduating with the Class of 1973. Driven by a natural desire to care for others, she pursued further education at the Riley Training Institute, earning her credentials as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in 1988.

Brenda's spiritual foundation was laid early in life when she joined Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia. Later, after uniting in holy matrimony to her beloved husband, the late Oscar Ford, Jr., she moved her membership to Saint Paul Presbyterian Church, where she remained a member.

Brenda was a vibrant soul who lived life to the fullest. She was a proud and active member of the "Geritol Crew Club," a group of close-knit friends who shared endless laughter and companionship. Above all else, Brenda loved her family fiercely and truly enjoyed the warmth, food, and laughter of a good old-fashioned family get-together.

For many years, Brenda poured her heart into the children of her community. She absolutely adored her work and her colleagues within the Special Education Department and the Transportation Department of the Crisp County School System. Her kindness, patience, and bright smile left an indelible mark on countless students and coworkers alike.

Though she has stepped from time into eternity, rejoining her parents and her husband who preceded her in death, her radiant spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved, her loving children, Consuelo Oliver of Brunswick, Georgia, Nia Oliver-Gray (Kenneth) and Oscar L. Ford both of Cordele, Georgia, Kenyatta Ford Walton (Thomas) of Orange Park, Florida, Audrey Ford-Angry (Nathaniel) of Brunswick, Georgia and Cynthia  Capell (Ryan) of Detroit, Michigan; 17 grandchildren; 24 precious great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sandra Faye Shields of East Orange, New Jersey, Jean Oliver-Burks (James) of Cordele, Georgia, Jackie Ridley of Cordele, Georgia and Daisy Wedges (Reverend James) of Warwick, Georgia; her brothers, Earnest Kearse and Membrish Brown of Cordele, Georgia, and Greg Rivers (Joan) of Warner Robins, Georgia; her special companion, Larry "LC" McCloud of Cordele, Georgia; a special nephew, Silas Ford, Jr. of Cordele, Georgia; her special circles of friends: "The Geritol Crew" and the Crisp County School System Transportation Department "Bus Shop;" a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
