Obituary

Mrs. Bonadeen Linder Clark of 102 South 3rd Street, Cordele, Georgia died Monday, March 18, 2024 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

With hearts full of love, the late Mr. Author Linder and the late Ms. Birdell Deriso, welcomed their daughter, Bonadeen to this world.  She was born February 14, 1941 in Sumter County, Georgia.

Educated in the Sumter County public schools, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and served as a faithful member of the Jackson Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend D. C. Champion.

In the late 1970s she joined the New Oak Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Hosie Waters.  A true prayer warrior, she didn't mind praying.  She served faithfully in whatever capacity she could until her health   began to decline.

She loved cooking and she cherished the many wonderful moments shared with her family.  She especially enjoyed being in the presence of her grands, great grands, and great, great grands.

On Monday, March 18, 2024, the matriarch of our family surrendered to the will of her Savior.  Her husband, Mr. Osben Clark, Sr. and her son, Mr. David Clyde Linder, preceded her in death.  Her siblings, Ms. Otha Linder, Mr. Author Linder, Jr., Ms. Ollie Linder, Mrs. JoAnne Roberts, Ms. Ozie Watts, Ms. Kissie Wilborn, Mr. Willie Linder, Mr. Kenneth Linder, Ms. Daisy Paul, Mr. Moses Linder, Ms. Virdell Linder, Ms. Bertha Linder, Ms. Birdell Linder and Mr. Brother Linder, also preceded her in death.

Precious memories will be cherished by her loving and devoted children, Ms. Vastial Linder, Mr. Robert Clark, Sr., Deacon Willie (Emma) Clark, Ms. Mattie Clark, and Ms. Joe Ann Clark of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Osben (Queenie) Clark, Jr. of Mobile, Alabama, and Mrs. Angela (Tyrone) Walker of Cordele, Georgia; her beloved grandchildren, Lakentha (Freeman, III), Calishia, Tiyonda, Danzier (Cedric), Shankenya, Antwon, Robert, Jr. (Tamekia), Adrianna, Radesha, Ieshia, and Brandon; 26 great grandchildren; 13 great, great grandchildren; a beloved brother, Mr. David (Lois) Linder of Dothan, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include her special friends, Ms. Rossie McKenzie and Mr. Eddie Ross of Cordele, Georgia.
