Mr. Bobby Lee Youngblood, Jr. of 1183 Railroad Avenue, Rochelle, Georgia died Monday, September 26, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 5:00 PM at the Pitts Church of God in Pitts, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Tabernacle of Faith Church Cemetery in Pitts, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
Bobby Lee "Plant" Youngblood, Jr. was born March 11, 1967 in Ocilla, Irwin County, Georgia. He was born to Bobby Lee Youngblood, Sr. and Claudia Mae Taylor Youngblood.
He received his education in the public schools of Wilcox County. He was a proud 1985 graduate of Wilcox County High School.
Bobby possessed so many admirable attributes. He was righteous, dependable, caring and giving.
A hard worker and entrepreneur, he was regarded as a "pillar of the community." He loved his family and had a special love for his grandchildren.
On Monday, September 26, 2022, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather transitioned from life to life eternal. While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that he died doing what he loved. His parents and his siblings, Rickey Youngblood, Sr., Lunetta Coleman, Sammy Lester, and Bobby Lester, each precede him in death.
Cherishing his life and his love, he leaves his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Bernadette Butts Youngblood of Rochelle, Georgia; his loving and devoted children, Shannon (Peter) Sampson of Abbeville, Georgia, Bobby Youngblood, III, Beretta (Jondreaya) Emory, Burnetta (Patrick) Youngblood, and Shakari Grace all of Rochelle, Georgia; a special daughter, Andrea Rawls of Atlanta, Georgia; his goddaughters, Shawanna Glover of Pineview, Georgia and Aubreona Walker of Fitzgerald, Georgia; his adored grandchildren, Peter Sampson, Jr., Baylen Youngblood, and Barlae Jackson; his sibling=s, Melissa (Jennifer) Riley of Rochelle, Georgia, Pastor Mae Starling of Parrott, Georgia, Ruby (Eddie) Youngblood of Rochelle, Georgia, and Lewis Sherman of Savannah, Georgia; his mother-in-law, Shirley Ann Butts Taylor of Pitts, Georgia; his in-laws, Tiechi Butts of Pitts, Georgia, Willie (Carla) Butts of Cordele, Georgia, and Tony (Monica) Butts of Stockbridge, Georgia; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include his special friends, his uncle, Eddie Youngblood, Sr. of Rochelle, Georgia, Bobbie Jean Grace, John McDonald, and Wendall Howard all of Rochelle, Georgia.
