Mr. Bobbie Lee Foster of 722 Beale Street, Americus, Georgia died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins, Georgia.
The graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Old Corinth Church Cemetery in Leslie, Georgia.
Mr. Bobbie Lee Foster was born June 29, 1963 in Sumter County, Georgia. He was born to Mr. Matthew Lewis, Sr. and the late Mrs. Cora Thomas (Eric) Foster.
Bobbie received his education from the Sumter County Public schools.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Union Grove Baptist Church.
Bobbie was never a stranger to work and truly loved his family and the moments he shared with them He also enjoyed fishing and football.
On Sunday, January 21, 2024 he transitioned from this life while a patient at Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins, Georgia. Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tre'Vyanna Tucker; his sisters, Ms. Annie P. Lewis and Ms. Linda Foster; his grandparents, Mr. Josh Thomas and Mrs. Lucille Thomas. He is also preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, Mrs. Mary Cooper, Mr. Joe Lewis Mable, Mr. John Mable, Mr. Eddie Banks, Mr. Eddie J. Mable, Mr. Lawrence Johnson, and Mr. Johnny Lyles, Sr.
He leaves many wonderful memories to his loving and devoted family: his wife, Mrs. Betty Foster of Americus, Georgia; his children, Mr. Dontavious Hoston of Perry, Georgia, Mr. DeVonte Tucker, Sr., Mr. Bobbie Foster, Jr., Ms. Latoya Mable, Ms. Natasha Robinson, and Ms. Wykeithia Robinson of Americus, Georgia; his grandchildren, Kamiri Foster, Ma'Loni Foster, Jac'quees Robinson, DeVonte Tucker, Jr., Malik Tucker, Asher Tucker, and Allison Smith; his father, Mr. Matthew Lewis, Sr. of Americus, Georgia; his sisters, Ms. Ruby Dennard, Ms. Glenda Foster, Ms. Brenda Foster, Ms. Zanda Thompson, Ms. Carolyn Cladd, Ms. Mary Taylor, Ms. Yvonne Gordon, Ms. Janie Jones, Ms. Gloria Franklin, Ms. Lucille Davis, Ms. Janice Davis, Ms. Shelia Dowdell, Ms. Catherine Dowdell, Ms. Pamela Dowdell, and Ms. Carolyn Dowdell; his brothers, Mr. Clifford Thomas, Ms. Matthew L. Lewis, Jr., and Mr. Clarence Lewis of Americus, Georgia, Mr. Eric (Lovie) Foster of Preston, Georgia, Mr. Willie J. (Ethel) Lewis of West Palm Beach, Florida; his mother-in-law, Ms. Ola M. Lyles; his aunts and uncles, Mr. Willie P. (Jessie) Bateman, Mr. Charles Cooper, Ms. Georgia Johnson, Ms. Johnnie Lyles, Mrs. Patricia (David) Bell, Mrs. Dorothy (James) Hamilton, and Mr. Johnny (Patricia) Mable; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, to include, Allen Smith, Jr., Jonathan Smith, Antonio Smith, Dennisha Mable, Sekeithia Smith, Christopher Foster, Theresa Prince, Desmond, Derrick, Henry, Jerome, Elvay, Kaka, and Shambretta; a host of other relatives and friends.
